Milton Stables is situated on the south west of the Isle of Wight within a 5 minute walk of Freshwater Bay and Tennyson Down. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area with easy access to the coastal path - a particularly beautiful route westwards to the Needles or eastwards to St Catherine’s lighthouse on the southern tip of the Isle of Wight. It is ‘An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ with a variety of small coves where swimming, surfing, paddling and boating can be enjoyed as well as a 2 mile long sandy beach at nearby Compton Bay. There is a small general stores, tea shops and restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the cottage. A two minute drive also takes you to the town of Freshwater with supermarkets, and a variety of shops, inns and some restaurants plus a sports centre with gym and swimming pool.

This is a detached property situated in a small quiet crescent. As its name suggests it has been converted and extended from a Victorian stable block. The skillfully renovated building provides spacious accommodation with a light and airy feel. French doors open from the courtyard into a central hallway with stairs leading up to a double room with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom with bath, basin and WC plus a cosy sitting room with attic style sloping ceilings, two sofas and a wall mounted TV/Freeview/DVD player. On the ground floor there is a spacious open plan living room with a comfortable sofa and a central dining area beside French doors opening into the courtyard. The interconnected fitted kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, sink, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator and freezer. There is also a charming twin bedroom with flat screen television/Freeview, and wet room with shower, basin and WC on the ground floor. Travel cot/high chair available. Central heating and electricity provided without extra charge.

The cottage has a tiled courtyard style garden at the front of the property which is gated and fenced. Garden furniture is provided. There is space inside the gated courtyard to park one small car but this does involve a fairly tight manoeuvre. If you have a large car you may need to park in the road beside the stables. The courtyard is also more spacious without a car. A golf course within a 10 minute walk.
