This lovely stone cottage was originally a large and ancient stone barn at Sainham Farm. It is situated in the attractive courtyard and has marvellous open views from the rear across the fields to the downs. Stag Cottage is in one of the loveliest parts of the Island lying at the foot of Appuldurcome Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill in ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Godshill can be reached by taking a pleasant stroll through the beech copse and across the fields. The village has a variety of tea shops and restaurants as well as two public houses.

This lovely Grade II listed stone cottage is attractively situated in a courtyard of 5 cottages in a delightful rural hamlet only 1.5 miles from the centre of Shanklin, a seaside resort with a large sandy beach which gently slopes to the water and is ideal for swimming and paddling.

It is a delightful walking area and visitors can follow footpaths over the Downs from close to the cottage. Great location for exploring the East of the Isle of Wight and only a short drive from Seaview or Shanklin. A nearby public house serves excellent food.

Fodder Stable is on a lovely farm in beautiful countryside. From the cottage there are views across the fields to the downs of Ventnor in the distance. This is a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading from close to the cottage towards the picturesque village of Godshill or the coastal village of Niton. There is also easy access to the cycle route which crosses the Island. The sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are all within a 15 minute drive.

Delightful walks can be enjoyed directly from the cottage and footpaths can be followed to join the Bembridge Trail over the downs. Squire Thatcher's Barn has been carefully converted from an 18th Century Grade II Listed stone barn.

This lovely 17th century cottage is built of Island chalk and brick and enjoys beautiful views across nearby lakes and open countryside to Ventnor Downs. It is situated on an attractive farm at Merstone. The picturesque village of Godshill is nearby and the sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive. This is a wonderful walking area. Footpaths can be followed from close to the cottage along the course of the river Yar towards Bembridge and Niton and into the village of Godshill.

Two Mead Cottage is one of a pair of cottages which stand in the attractive rural hamlet of Alverstone and is less than a 5 minute drive from the lovely sandy beaches of Sandown on the east coast of the Island. The cottage is located on a small 12 acre farm which is home to horses, cows and a few free range chickens. The farm is in “An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” and has a charming large pond which attracts ducks, moorhens and the occassional heron.

Magnolia Cottage is situated on a delightful farm in one of the loveliest parts of the Isle of Wight lying at the foot of Appuldurcombe Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A pleasant ten-minute stroll through the beech copse and across the fields leads to the centre of Godshill. This village is renowned for its church and pretty thatched cottage.
Mead Cottage is attractively situated on a 12 acre farm on the edge of the small rural hamlet of Alverstone in “An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”. This is a wonderful position for outdoor pursuits, walking, cycling, fishing and golf. In the village there are lovely water meadows and fishing ponds with hides for bird and red squirrel watching. There are many footpaths leading up on to the downs and towards the coast. The River Yar, which runs through the centre of Alverstone, commences on the south coast of the Island at Niton and enters the sea at Bembridge in the east. Walking the course of the river has become increasingly popular. Sandown is 5 minutes drive away with wonderful sandy beaches and with the lively entertainments of a small resort, also Sandown golf course is within easy reach. The village of Newchurch is within a 25 minute walk, along footpaths and here there is a good public house for meals. One of the well known Island cycle routes also runs through Alverstone, so there is very easy access to a cycling network which interlinks various parts of the Island.
The cottage is one of a pair of cottages which have recently been converted from a barn. The farm is home to horses, cows and a small number of free range chickens. It has a charming large pond that attracts ducks, moorhens and the occasional heron. The cottage has been renovated to the highest standards, furnished and equipped with great care to provide charming, comfortable accommodation for 4 people in 2 bedrooms. The cottage has under floor heating beneath an attractive tiled floor with panel heaters upstairs, the hot water is solar heated. There is a small very well equipped fitted kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with freezer section. A washing machine/tumble dryer are also provided in the cottage and there is access to a freezer in an outbuilding beside the cottages. There is a spacious open plan sitting room which extends across the width of the cottage and is a lovely light room with patio doors opening into pretty courtyard garden. There is a pleasant dining area beside the window and a wood burning stove provides a lovely central focus for the room in colder weather. It is furnished with a comfortable 3 seater sofa, arm chair plus television/DVD/Free view. A wet room is also on the ground floor with a shower, basin and w.c. Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms – one spacious double room with pleasant views across fields and a compact twin bedroom. There is a bathroom with a bath, basin and w.c. A single futon bed can be provided in the double bedroom to sleep an additional child. Travel cot/high chair available. Heating and electricity are included without extra charge. Free wifi broadband internet available.
The cottage has a private attractive courtyard style garden which is fenced and gated, from which there is a lovely view over paddocks to the pretty pond. Garden furniture and a barbeque are provided so that meals can be enjoyed outside. Parking is at the rear of the cottage and there is space to store bicycles. A rural bus service is available within a few minutes walk. The Alverstone Marshes (Triple SSI - Site of Scientific Interest) with abundant wildlife adjoins the farm and it is possible to see a rich variety of wildlife. Nearby places to visit include Amazon Adventure, The Donkey Sanctuary, Seaview Wildlife Encounter, Carisbrooke Castle and Havenstreet Steam Railway.
One Mead Cottage is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at One Mead Cottage. One Mead Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from and 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017.

Alverstone stands just inland of Sandown on the East of the Isle of Wight. There are good connections with the coast and Sandown and Shanklin as well as Bembridge, Seaview and St Helens are all within a short drive. Alverstone was once a stop along the Sandown to Newport railway and now this route has been turned into a cycle track and footpath. The track runs across the local nature reserve of Alverstone Mead and the SSSI of Alverstone Marshes. These sites are excellent for bird watching and a chance to see a rich variety of wildlife. Sandown to Newchurch Cycle Track - A flat cycle track runs from Sandown to Newchurch and passes close by. You can easily cycle to the beach at Sandown or head inland towards Newport where there are routes peeling off to Godshill, Wroxall, Cowes and most of the rest of the Isle of Wight. Two dogs are welcome and the back garden is enclosed. Pets are not permitted upstairs, on the furniture or in the bedrooms. We also ask owners not to allow their dogs to foul the garden. Dogs can be left alone in cottage if crated and not noisy. Puppies and also dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement and would need to be crated. Please be aware that there are free range chicken on the farm so dogs need to be closely monitored when outside of the walled cottage garden. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date. Cats accepted by agreement if house cats and fully housetrained.
