Sea Whisper is a semi detached property standing within a 7 minute walk of the sandy beach of Shanklin - a lovely bay with sand gently sloping into the water. The property is also within a 5 minute walk of the small shops, restaurants, public houses and entertainments of the resort and the pretty Old Village of Shanklin with its thatched cottages and beautiful Chine. Visitors can walk down to the sea or take a lift from the cliff top. There are views across the town with glimpses of the sea and Culver Cliffs from several of the rooms and from the charming balconies which can be accessed from the sitting room and twin bedroom. There is also a sunny terrace at the rear of the property with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. The property has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard and offers delightful accommodation.

This lovely stone cottage nestles in beautiful countryside on an attractive farm on the East side of the Island. There are wonderful open views from the cottage and garden across fields towards the downs. The Brew House is at the end of a country lane with no passing traffic. This is a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading along the course of the River Yar and to the nearby picturesque village of Godshill. There is direct access across the fields to the cycle track which links Sandown to Newport and Cowes. The sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are only a 15 minute drive away. Ferries can be booked for you at greatly discounted prices.

This pretty stone cottage is situated on a lovely 12 acre farm, surrounded by beautiful open countryside. Delightful walks can be enjoyed directly from the cottage and footpaths can be followed to join the Bembridge Trail over the downs. Squire Thatcher's Barn has been carefully converted from an 18th Century Grade II Listed stone barn.

This lovely stone cottage was originally a large and ancient stone barn at Sainham Farm. It is situated in the attractive courtyard and has marvellous open views from the rear across the fields to the downs. Stag Cottage is in one of the loveliest parts of the Island lying at the foot of Appuldurcome Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill in ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Godshill can be reached by taking a pleasant stroll through the beech copse and across the fields. The village has a variety of tea shops and restaurants as well as two public houses.
The Lookout enjoys a superb position with panoramic views across Ventnor Bay. It is within a 2 minute walk of the beach where swimming, paddling, boating and fishing can be enjoyed. Ventnor is a charming small resort on the south-east coast of the Isle of Wight - renowned for its mild climate and botanical garden. The small promenade overlooking the beach has a variety of cafes and restaurants plus a public house beside the sea. At the far side of the beach is a small harbour with fishing boats and fresh fish including lobster and crab.
The Lookout occupies the entire upper floor of a large house. An external door opens from the side of the property giving direct access to The Lookout. It provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for 6 in 3 bedrooms. It is centrally heated and the sea facing windows are double glazed. There is a large open plan sitting room with three picture windows with panoramic views across the sea and Ventnor Bay. A wonderful spot to relax and watch the boats passing by, particularly during the Round the Island Race. The sitting room includes a dining area and is furnished with a sofa, arm chairs, a High definition Smart television with Freeview/BluRay and DVD player. There are 3 bedrooms - a master bedroom with open sea views; a second spacious double bedroom with an en-suite shower room with built in shower, basin and WC; a lovely twin bedroom; a family bathroom with a bath, hand shower, separate built in shower, basin and WC; a well equipped fitted kitchen with a tiled floor, electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Central heating, electricity and wifi internet available without extra charge. A folding bed can be provided to sleep an additional child in one of the bedrooms.
Parking for 1 car is provided in the drive. A weekly permit can be purchased for parking in the car park just above the seafront, which is a short walk away. The shopping centre of Ventnor town is within a 10 minute walk. Here there a variety of places to eat and small boutique style shops. Also nearby is a tennis court, bowling green and Ventnor gardens. The coastal path is just below the property and it is a pleasant 15 minute walk to Steep Hill Cove with its attractive bay and fish restaurants. The fact that Steep Hill Cove cannot be accessed by car gives this coastal hamlet a lovely tranquil atmosphere. Ventnor Botanical Garden is just to the side of the cove. Alternatively visitors can walk eastward to Bonchurch and onwards along the charming coastal path to the resorts of Shanklin and Sandown.
(Please be aware that children need to be closely supervised in the property as the large picture windows in the sitting room and master bedroom are low level and can be opened right back from a side hinge. When young children are in the property it is important that the windows are only opened by a secondary mechanism which means the windows lean out from a bottom hinge to provide fresh air. There are also safety locks on the windows.)
The Lookout is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at The Lookout. The Lookout is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 16:00 and the normal departure time is 11:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from and 28th October 2017 to 16th December 2017.

The South of the Isle of Wight is a wonderful mix of pretty beaches and dramatic coastal landscape. The sand and shingle beach at Ventnor is one of the more popular holiday locations but hidden gems such as Bonchurch and Steephill Cove are really worth a visit too.
The coastal path around the South Coast of the Isle of Wight is a particularly beautiful stretch to explore and passes a number of attractive sites which include Steephill Cove, Orchard Bay and St Catherine's Light House at Niton Undercliff. Some of this area has been prone to erosion so you must stick to the footpath and take heed of diversions.
