This village is renowned for its church and pretty thatched cottages. The sandy beaches of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor are only a ten minute drive away.

This small coastal cottage stands adjacent to the coastal path in the picturesque area of Luccombe on the south east coast of the Isle of Wight. It offers a wonderful peaceful retreat for 2 people with a fenced garden, double bedroom, sitting room, fitted kitchen and separate shower room. The small seaside village of Bonchurch and the larger resort of Shanklin are both within a delightful 20 to 25 minute walk. The foot paths go through some beautiful woodland and offer views of the sea at various points. The cottage overlooks an open field and is a superb spot for watching a variety of wild life including Red Squirrels, badgers and birds.

This pretty cottage is attractively situated within a pleasant ten minute walk of the sandy beach of Ventnor or the quiet cove of Steephill on the south coast of the Island. Ventnor Park is at the rear of the cottage and paths lead through these gardens to the Esplanade. These gardens also adjoin the Botanical Garden of Ventnor which is renowned for its rare plants and the mild climate. The Clock House is one of a small group of cottages which have been converted from the original stables of Steephill Manor House.

This cottage is situated in a quiet country lane on the outskirts of Godshill. It was originally the milking parlour of Lower Yard Farm. The surrounding fields are home to horses which belong to a small nearby riding school. Here you are in lovely countryside but the centre of the picturesque village of Godshill, with its pretty thatched cottages, restaurants and tea shops is only 3/4 mile away.

This lovely wing of Fowlsdown Farmhouse is completely self contained and offers very attractive accommodation of a high standard. The accommodation is largely open plan with an attractive sitting room area with a sofa, arm chair, flat screen television with freeview; a lovely dining area beside a window; a fitted kitchen with a tiled floor, an electric cooker and hob, microwave, refrigerator and small freezer (24 hour washing service available); a charming bedroom with a king size bed and fitted wardrobe with curtains to separate it from the living area; a well equipped tiled bathroom with a bath, over head shower, basin and WC. At the rear of the cottage is a small sunny fenced courtyard with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed outside. The property is within a 5 minute drive of the coastal resort of Shanklin with its lovely sandy beach. The picturesque village of Godshill is also nearby - with its thatched cottages, lovely church, tea shops, public houses and restaurant. This is also a wonderful walking and cycling area. Ferries can be booked for you at greatly discounted prices.
Little Granville is situated in the grounds of Ford Farmhouse. It enjoys views across beautiful countryside and is within a 10 minute drive of the sandy beaches of Shanklin, Steephill Cove and Ventnor. It is a wonderful walking and cycling area with footpaths and bridleways leading from close to the cottage to nearby downs and to the villages of Godshill and Whitwell. There is a renowned walk which follows the course of the nearby River Yar from its source at Niton to the sea at Bembridge. The nearby village of Whitwell has a good public house for meals and within a few minutes drive there is also the village of Niton where there is an excellent general stores, public house, pharmacy and a beautiful church. The thatched village of Godshill lies about two miles away and has two public houses and a restaurant.
Little Granville has recently been renovated to provide very attractive and comfortable accommodation for two people in one bedroom. It has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard and is centrally heated and double glazed. There is a delightful open plan living area with a fitted kitchen equipped with an electric cooker, gas hob, dishwasher and refrigerator with icebox; a pleasant dining area; a lovely sitting room area with armchairs and a flat screen television/DVD/Freeview. Patio doors open from here on to a pretty terrace with a table and chairs so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine whilst enjoying the views. There is a lovely separate double bedroom with a 'Super King' size zip and link bed which can, on request, be separated to form twin beds. This room is very well equipped with fitted wardrobes and a lovely en-suite shower room with a large walk in shower, basin and w.c. Heating and electricity are provided without extra charge. Wifi internet available. A freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer are also available for visitors use in an easily accessible out-buiilding.
A variety of birds and also foxes, badgers, rabbits and hares are frequent visitors to the garden. In addition to the pretty terrace of Little Granville there is an area of garden where visitors can relax and also a parking space immediately beside the cottage. There are fishing lakes in the village of Whitwell and golf courses in Ventnor and Sandown. Nearby places to visit include Ventnor Botanical Garden, Carisbrooke Castle, The Garlic Farm, St Catherine’s lighthouse, Osborne House and a variety of small attractive coves on the south and west coast of the island. Bus service within 20 minute walk, good general stores 1.6 miles and public house – 1.3 miles.

The village of Whitwell is located on the South East of the Isle of Wight and is just a short drive from the beaches of Ventnor and Bonchurch to the South and Shanklin in the East. Whitwell has a small village pub that serves excellent food. The surrounding countryside has a number of walks and footpaths run to the sea and join with the coastal path.

The South of the Isle of Wight is a wonderful mix of pretty beaches and dramatic coastal landscape. The sand and shingle beach at Ventnor is one of the more popular holiday locations but hidden gems such as Bonchurch and Steephill Cove are really worth a visit too.
The coastal path around the South Coast of the Isle of Wight is a particularly beautiful stretch to explore and passes a number of attractive sites which include Steephill Cove, Orchard Bay and St Catherine's Light House at Niton Undercliff. Some of this area has been prone to erosion so you must stick to the footpath and take heed of diversions.
