Milton Stables is situated on the south west side of the Isle of Wight within a 5 minute walk of Freshwater Bay, Tennyson Down and the coastal path which is particularly dramatic on its route westwards to The Needles. It is a detached property which has been converted from original stables - renovated with care to provide spacious, light and comfortable accommodation for 4 people with a large plan open plan living room with doors opening onto the courtyard garden; a fitted kitchen, and wet room. There is a ground floor twin room and upstairs there is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a small sitting room. The cottage has an enclosed courtyard which is fenced and gated.

Apple House is situated on the west side of the island, within a 10 minute walk of the beach at Colwell Bay. Here swimming, paddling, fishing and boating can be enjoyed. Totland Bay is also within easy walking distance. The coastal path from this area can be followed westward to Alum Bay, Tennyson Down and The Needles - a wonderful walking area with panoramic sea views. The centre of Freshwater is also within a 10 minute walk.

The delightful Methodist chapel was built in the 1800’s and has been converted into a wonderful cottage. It stands on the outskirts of the pretty village of Brighstone on the south west coast of the island. The village is renowned for its lovely church, thatched cottages, village shops, National Trust shop, public house and teashop. Visitors can walk directly from the cottage and join footpaths to the beach at Chilton Chine (2 miles).

Lovely stone cottage within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and only a 15 minute walk from the beach at Brook on the West Coast of the Isle of Wight. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area and there are spectacular views of the sea and the white cliffs of Tennyson Down from the farm.

This cottage is beautifully situated in Winkle Street – renowned for being one of the prettiest spots on the island with its lovely stone cottages overlooking a stream. The cottage is in a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading from close to the cottage. The south west coast of the Island, with its many quiet bays, is within a 10 minute drive and the market town of Newport, with its medieval castle, is also nearby. A lovely central location for exploring the Island.

Lovely detached bungalow, in a quiet lane, on the outskirts of the pretty village of Brighstone, on the south west side of the Isle of Wight. Wonderful walking and cycling area with bridleways and footpaths at the end of the lane leading up on to Brighstone Downs. From here the Tennyson Trail can be followed to The Needles on the western tip of the Island or inland to Carisbrooke with its medieval castle. The cottage is only 1/2 mile from the village centre with public house for meals, bistro/tea shop, excellent village shop with local produce. The quiet beaches of Brighstone Bay are also nearby.

The Granary is a charming cottage, which has been carefully converted from the wing of a large ancient barn dating back to the 17th Century - Ningwood Green Barn. It is nestled in lovely peaceful West Wight countryside. This is a lovely walking area and is not too far from the coastal path.

This pretty thatched cottage, with leaded light windows, stands in beautiful countryside, only a few minutes walk from Calbourne Water Mill. The cottage was designed by John Nash as a lodge for Westover Manor and is a Grade II listed building with wonderful grounds of 3.5 acres. This is a lovely walking area with footpaths very close to the cottage leading to Newbridge, Calbourne and to the downs above Brighstone, linking with the renowned Tennyson trail to Freshwater Bay.
This picturesque thatched cottage is situated in a quiet lane, in the peaceful rural village of Newbridge on the west side of the island. This is a lovely rural area only a 5 minute drive from the coast with beaches at Brook and Compton Bay. Laurel Cottage is in a lovely walking and cycling area. Nearby footpaths lead to Shalfleet Creek and to the Tennyson Trail, from which there are spectacular views across the Solent and the South Coast. Within a short drive are the Yar Estuary and the nature reserve at Newtown, both havens for sea birds, waterfowl and rare wading birds. Excellent cream teas can be enjoyed at the nearby Chessel pottery.
This lovely semi-detached stone built cottage, which still retains many original features, has been carefully renovated to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation. It has been furnished and decorated with care in a traditional style. The cottage is well heated with a combination of storage heaters and oil filled radiators. It has a fitted kitchen equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a separate dining area and visitors can relax in the pretty sitting room, which has a comfortable sofa and chairs, a flat screen 'Smart' television with Freeview/DVD player. A door from the sitting room opens to reveal a charming staircase which leads directly up into the attractive double bedroom. Access to the twin bedroom is via the double room. Travel cot, high chair and stair gate available. The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a bath, overhead electric shower, basin and w.c. Heating/electricity free of charge. WiFi internet access available
Laurel Cottage has a delightful fenced garden with a large lawn, shrubs and trees. Visitors can peacefully relax in the sunshine and games can be played. Garden furniture is provided. Parking space for one car at the side of cottage. There are public houses in the nearby villages of Calbourne and Shalfleet plus a variety of good restaurants in Yarmouth and Freshwater. It is a 5 minute walk to the seasonal shop and telephone in the village. Regular bus service also within a few minutes walk.
Laurel Cottage is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Laurel Cottage. Laurel Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Friday to Friday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:00 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Red Lion Public House in nearby Freshwater - The Red Lion is a traditional public house serving great food using local produce and local caught seafood. The Red Lion is in the neigbouring small town of Freshwater but their is a lovely estuary side walk which runs from Yarmouth. To walk simply follow the marked cycle route in the direction of Freshwater till you reach the small road bridge. Turn right, cross the bridge and continue for 200 yards to the pub. The ride starts in Freshwater Bay, joins a cycle track on the edge of Freshwater town going to Yarmouth. After seeing Yarmouth, with it's castle and boutique shops, the route continues to Totland and Totland Bay, where there is a beautiful beach, and on towards Alum Bay where we turn back towards Freshwater.

The West of the Isle of Wight is best known for its unspoilt nature and dramatic coastline. The areas is far less commercialised and the many of the beaches can be enjoyed almost to ones self. West Isle of Wight beaches include Totland Bay, Freshwater Bay, Compton Beach, Brook Beach and Bembridge Beach.

One large dog or two small/ medium size dogs are welcome and the garden is fenced. Pets are not permitted upstairs, on the furniture or in the bedrooms. We also ask owners not to leave dogs on their own in the cottage and not to allow them to foul the garden. Puppies and also dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date. Cats accepted by agreement.

A thatched cottage, dating from the 19th century, Laurel Cottage retains many of its original features. The low ceilings, winding staircase, and narrow doorways, which are part of its charm, mean that is unsuitable for wheel-chair users and people with limited mobility may wish to ask for further details. A modern kitchen and bathroom extension have been added on the ground floor.
Access to the Cottage
Access to the cottage is by 6 steps (depth 8 ½”) from the driveway with a handrail on the right hand side, or by 4 steps of varying depth through the front gate from the road.
The patio, which leads to the back door, has a single step, which is 6” in depth opposite the door.
In the path, which leads up the garden, there are two steps, each of 6” depth.
There is a shallow step (2 ½” depth) between the kitchen and the dining room, and another step (2” depth) between the dining room and lounge.
A staircase of 10 steps (9” depth) leads from the lounge to the front bedroom. There is a handrail on the right hand side going up.
Access to the second bedroom is through the front bedroom.
Duvets and pillows are of synthetic material. Blankets can be provided as an alternative.
