This delightful Grade II listed stone cottage has been sympathetically converted from the former stables of the nearby Apse Manor. Groom Cottage is a large property with thick stone walls, wooden beams and an attractive appearance with four gables. It nestles within an enclosed courtyard approached through a lovely arched entrance. The original building dates back to 1695, and period stone door surrounds and lintels can be seen on its south elevation. Parking available adjacent to the cottage.

This attractive property is situated in the grounds of Brook Lodge in beautiful South Isle of Wight countryside on the outskirts of the rural village of Whitwell. The village centre with its attractive church and public house is only a 10 minute walk away. The sandy beach of the seaside town of Ventnor is within a 10 minute drive and there is also easy access to the small quiet coves on the south coast and on the West side of the Isle of Wight.

This delightful detached stone cottage is located on a 400 acre arable farm which is also home to a small number of cattle and sheep. It is located on the south east side of the island within a 5 minute drive of the beach. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area with footpaths leading from the cottage across the farm and joining a network of routes including the renowned Stenbury Trail which links Ventnor with the central market town of Newport and its dramatic castle of Carisbrooke. The larger sandy beaches of Ventnor and Shanklin are within a 10 minute drive.

This lovely 17th century cottage is built of Island chalk and brick and enjoys beautiful views across nearby lakes and open countryside to Ventnor Downs. It is situated on an attractive farm at Merstone. The picturesque village of Godshill is nearby and the sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive. This is a wonderful walking area. Footpaths can be followed from close to the cottage along the course of the river Yar towards Bembridge and Niton and into the village of Godshill.

This idyllic, one bedroom, self catering wing located in an area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty' near Godshill Village on the East of the Isle of Wight. The wing is part of the beautiful Godshill Park House which stands in four acres of grounds and surrounded by farmland. There are wonderful walking a cycling opportunities around the cottage and it is a pleasant walk to Godshill where there are pubs and restaurants.

This cottage is situated in a quiet country lane on the outskirts of Godshill. It was originally the milking parlour of Lower Yard Farm. The surrounding fields are home to horses which belong to a small nearby riding school. Here you are in lovely countryside but the centre of the picturesque village of Godshill, with its pretty thatched cottages, restaurants and tea shops is only 3/4 mile away.

This delightful cottage is very attractively situated in a peaceful rural hamlet in beautiful countryside but is only 1.5 miles from the lovely sandy beach of Shanklin, a small coastal town with a variety of restaurants and entertainments. The neighbouring seaside towns of Sandown and Ventnor are within an easy 10 minute drive. The cottage is in a good walking area with nearby footpaths leading to woodland and to the downs above Ventnor.
This lovely Grade II listed stone cottage is attractively situated in a courtyard of 5 cottages in a delightful rural hamlet only 1.5 miles from the centre of Shanklin, a seaside resort with a large sandy beach which gently slopes to the water and is ideal for swimming and paddling. This small resort offers a range of activities and traditional amusements. The peaceful hamlet where the cottage is located in surrounded by beautiful open farmland with some nearby woodland. This is a good walking area and visitors can stroll into Shanklin or follow footpaths on to the downs where there are wonderful panoramic coastal views and inter linking footpaths to some of the major walking trails on the Island. There is a good range of shops in Shanklin and also in the market town of Newport which is within a 15 minute drive.
Harvest Cottage has been converted from the original stables of Apse Manor House and dates back to 1695. It has been furnished and equipped to a high standard to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation for 4 people in two bedrooms. The cottage is centrally heated with tiled floors in the kitchen and bathroom, fitted carpets elsewhere. On the ground floor there is a modern fitted kitchen equipped with a gas cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator and freezer; a pretty dining area with a circular table and dresser; a separate spacious sitting room with a large comfortable sofa and chairs, television/DVD/CD player with Ipod docking station. Stairs lead up to a well equipped bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and w.c.; two pretty bedrooms – one double room (king size bed) with a wall mounted television and a second bedroom with a 5ft zip and link bed which can be used as a second double room or as a twin room for children (2ft 6 beds). Both bedrooms are attractively furnished. A travel cot and high chair can be provided if required. Heating and electricity are provided without extra charge. Wifi internet can also be provided.
The cottage has a pleasant enclosed sunny courtyard with garden furniture and a barbecue so that meals can be enjoyed outside. A gate opens into a further area where two cars can be parked beside the cottage. Regular bus service within 10 minutes walk. Small general stores and post office 1 mile. Nearby places to visit include Amazon Adventure, the picturesque village of Godshill and the medieval castle of Carisbrooke. The seaside towns of Sandown and Ventnor are with an easy 5 to 10 minute drive and almost all areas of the island can be reached within 45 minutes.
Harvest Cottage is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Harvest Cottage. Harvest Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from and 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017.

Shanklin is most famous for the long beach of golden sand and historic village centre. This idyllic self catering holiday location is on the East of the Isle of Wight and has excellent access to the other beaches on the East coast. There are a number of shops and restaurants in Shanklin village or down on the seafront.
Shanklin has a number of worthy attractions including Shanklin Old Town with pretty thatched buildings and number of traditional small shops selling local produce and traditional sweets. A pleasent area of gardens is also found nearby and these can be enjoyed on the way down to the sea.

Up to two medium sized dogs are welcome and the courtyard is fenced. Pets are not permitted upstairs, on the furniture or in the bedrooms. We also ask owners not to leave dogs on their own in the cottage and not to allow them to foul the garden. Puppies and also dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date.

Car ParkingHarvest Cottage is situated along a quiet road and has a driveway with parking for two cars at the side of the property. The brick paved driveway is around 3.5m wide and is firm, level and flat.
Entrance to Property
There are two entrances to the property. The first access is to the front of the property and into the lounge. The surface is brick paved and is firm and flat. There are two steps (100mm and 50mm high) and a 150mm threshold up into the cottage. The floor covering in this room is short pile fitted carpet.
There is a second entrance to the side of the property, accessed from the parking area through a wooden gate. There is a brick-paved area to the entrance. Access into the property is through a door with two steps (100mm and 150mm high) and a 150mm threshold up into the kitchen/ breakfast room. The floor covering in this room is ceramic tiling.

Stairs, Landings, Passageways
The stairs are accessed from the lounge and are covered with short pile fitted carpet. There is a quarter landing near to the bottom of the stairs. There are no thresholds within each level of the cottage. The passageway upstairs is also covered with short pile fitted carpet.
The lounge is furnished with one large 3-seater sofa (480mm high and 1800mm wide), and two easy chairs (each 480mm high and 900mm wide). There is a coffee table (460mm high, 450x900mm wide). There is a flat screen TV, DVD, Freeview, a CD player and iPod docking station all with remote controls. Flooring is short pile fitted carpet.
The kitchen leads from the lounge. The worktops and sink are 900mm high (with no clearance underneath to the sink or worktops). There is a cooker, comprising a top front opening oven and bottom oven which hinges to the left and a gas hob. There is an under-counter fridge with icebox compartment and a washing machine. Flooring is ceramic tiling. There is a dining area with a round table (760mm high) and 4 chairs.
There are two bedrooms in the cottage.
Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed 650mm high. There is around 600mm space to each side of the bed, which has an under-bed height of 250mm. Furniture in this room includes two bedside cabinets (580mm high), a chest of drawers (1300mm high) and a wardrobe (2000mm high). Flooring is short pile fitted carpet.
Bedroom 2 has two single beds 650mm high with around 500mm space between the two beds and to either side of the beds. The beds can be zipped together to form a double bed. There is no under-bed space. Furniture in this room includes a bedside cabinet (700mm high) and a wardrobe (2000mm high). Flooring is short pile fitted carpet.
There is one bathroom on the first floor within the cottage. There is a bath (560mm high) with an over-bath shower
attachment, a wash hand basin and a w.c. (420mm high). There is no space for lateral wheelchair transfer. The flooring is ceramic tiling.
Grounds and Gardens
There is a small brick and stone paved area to the side of the property with a table and 4 chairs and a barbecue.
