Brook is located between Freshwater and Brighstone in a pretty coastal location and is best known for a long sand and shingle beach. Considered one of the least developed areas of coastline on the Isle of Wight it is popular with bathers who want some space and tranquility. The dramatic coastal features and the chance to find fossils just lying on the beach makes this more than just any seaside location. From Brook you can walk most of the West coast of the Isle of Wight without leaving the beach. Towards Freshwater there is a reef which causes the waves to break far out to sea and this makes it popular with surfers.
Visit our Brook Beach page for more information about visiting the seaside at Brook or view all available holiday cottages in Brook Isle of Wight.
Brook also has a small village centre with a historic church of which parts date back to the 13th Century.
The West of the Isle of Wight is best known for its unspoilt nature and dramatic coastline. The areas is far less commercialised and the many of the beaches can be enjoyed almost to ones self. West Isle of Wight beaches include Totland Bay, Freshwater Bay, Compton Beach, Brook Beach and Bembridge Beach.
Inland are the Tennyson Downs which connect Alum Bay to Carisbrooke. The Downs make a lovely walk even if you choose only to do a short part of them. Cycle paths and footpaths are especially nermourous in this part of the Isle of Wight. View more West Isle of Wight Cottages

Beautiful cottage, children loved the garden very spacious and the trampoline. Very comfortable and everything even baking tins supplied. All the family enjoyed the holiday and if we go to IOW again we would hire this cottage out again. Overall Rating: 5 Stars

We really enjoyed our stay at Greystone Cottage and it would be a place we would definitely return to in the future. Overall Rating: 4 Stars

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the cottage couldn't have been in a better location. The children thoroughly enjoyed the large garden, with large trampoline, and close proximity to the beach. The only thing missing from the cottage, we felt, was a microwave. Would definitely love to return. Overall Rating: 4 Stars
We all had a lovely relaxing holiday and it was great to be so close to the beach ...we really liked the cottage and would recommend it.

We all thought the house was fabulous and loved all the nick-nacs and interesting artifacts that instantly made it feel like home. The downstairs lounge/diner/kitchen area was wonderful and with all the lighting made it a very special space. The location was really good with the beautiful unspoilt coastline so near; even our visiting antipodian family thought it was equal to many a spot down under for it's wildness! Please pass on our thanks to the owners for opening their house up, we loved it. Overall Rating: 5 Stars
