In the centre of the small rural village of Shorwell on the south west of the island and is only a 5 minute drive from a quiet beach at Brighstone. The cottage stands adjacent to a beautiful 11th century church. A pleasant old public house with a large duck pond is within a 1 minute walk and Shorwell still has its own village shop. There are a variety of small sandy coves within a short drive where visitors can enjoy swimming, paddling, boating and fishing.

Charming detached cottage attractively situated in beautiful west Wight countryside. It is in a delightful walking area with easy access to Brighstone Forest and wonderful coastal walks plus the Tennyson Trail. The harbour of Yarmouth, with is sailing boats and excellent restaurants, is within a 10 minute drive. Also nearby are the sandy bays of Totland and Colwell. The cottage has 4 bedrooms (one on the ground floor) - two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and there is a family bathroom plus a cloakroom with WC and basin. The cottage has been furnished and equipped to a high standard and has a lovely large enclosed garden.

Stanwell Barn is a large stone barn which has recently been skilfully converted to provide superb accommodation. Original features such as exposed beams and stone walls have been retained. Apart from one bedroom all of the accommodation is on the ground floor.

Beautifully situated with panoramic coastal views from almost every room and with direct access from the garden to a coastal path accessing the beach - less than a 5 minute walk away. It is in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ on the south east coast of the Island, an area renowned for its mild climate. The house stands just above the charming small fishing village of Steep Hill Cove.
Greenside is very pleasantly situated in a quiet, prestigious residential area of Cowes. There are open views from the rear of the house across the golf course which can be accessed by a gate, with the Club House only 200 metres away. It is around half a mile from the beach at Gurnard. The centre of Cowes is a 15-minute walk from the house.
Cowes is renowned for its sailing, and has an attractive centre with narrow streets. Greenside was built in 1956 to an award winning design (James Stirling) and provides attractive, light and spacious accommodation. It has a lovely sitting room with sensitive spot lighting and windows overlooking the garden and golf course. A 40 inch SMART High Definition television, surround sound along with a Blu-ray player and stereo system are provided. A telephone is available plus WiFi throughout the house. There is an attractive and spacious central day room with an open plan staircase. The spacious kitchen is equipped with good quality modern fitted units and a large new Range Cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. (A separate utility room contains the washing machine, tumble dryer and another fridge freezer). A very pleasant dining area, with an additional TV adjoins the kitchen. The house sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom, with a super king bed, a television and an en-suite shower room with w.c.; a twin bedroom and a modern well-equipped bathroom. There are two additional double bedrooms on the first floor with king size beds, sofas and each room has its own television. Upstairs there is also an additional shower room with a hand basin and W.C. This detached house is furnished to a high standard in a modern style. Central heating and electricity provided free of charge. As well as the gas central heating there is also under floor heating in both bathrooms downstairs as well as the kitchen diner.
Greenside has an attractive well-established garden that provides privacy at the front of the house. There is a lovely open sunny garden at the rear with a lawn and an area of decking, with garden furniture and a barbecue. Red squirrels can frequently be seen. Parking for at least 5 cars. Public house, with views overlooking the Solent 1/2 mile; shop: 3/4 mile. Limited bus service: 150 yards.
Greenside has ground floor accommodation and is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Greenside. Greenside is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00.

Cowes is famous sailing mecca and attracts sailors from around the world for the Cowes Week festival. Naturally there is much more to this little town and many simply come to enjoy the small shops and boutique stores as well as the vibrant atmosphere. The coast line either side of Cowes makes for pleasant walking and it is possible to walk along to Ryde to the East or Gurnard to the West. A stretch of beach towards Gurnard is an enjoyable place to enjoy a picnic and watch the yachts, fishing boats and cruise liners.

The North of the Isle of Wight is a wonderfully varied location with beautiful coastal areas and historic sites. The main towns in the North are Yarmouth in the North West, Gurnard and Cowes in the centre of the Northern coastline, and Ryde in the North East. There is a sandy beach at Ryde, a shingle and sand beach at Gurnard and a long shingle beach at Cowes.
The principle town here is Cowes where a vibrant sailing scene exists and culminates in the yearly Cowes Week festival. Yarmouth also enjoys a strong connection with the sea and has its own festival of Gaffers which attracts a large number of brightly decorated boats.
The inland areas of the North side of the Isle of Wight are known for their beautiful countryside. The estuary at Wootton is an important area for birds and views across the estuary are often enhanced by a number of bird species. Footpaths and cycle tracks are numerous in the area and a great way to see the beauty on the North of the Isle of Wight.
