This small coastal cottage stands adjacent to the coastal path in the picturesque area of Luccombe on the south east coast of the Isle of Wight. It offers a wonderful peaceful retreat for 2 people with a fenced garden, double bedroom, sitting room, fitted kitchen and separate shower room. The small seaside village of Bonchurch and the larger resort of Shanklin are both within a delightful 20 to 25 minute walk. The foot paths go through some beautiful woodland and offer views of the sea at various points. The cottage overlooks an open field and is a superb spot for watching a variety of wild life including Red Squirrels, badgers and birds.

Pretty stone cottage which dates back to the 15th Century and is Grade 11 listed. It stands in St Lawrence, a small peaceful coastal village on the south coast of the Isle of Wight. The cottage is attractively furnished and well equipped with central heating and a wood burning stove. It is a small, well designed cottage which sleeps 3 in 2 bedrooms - all on one level.
The Coach House is situated on the South East side of the Island in an attractive farm courtyard with ancient Grade 11 listed barns and a traditional farmhouse which dates back to the 17th Century. Sainham Farm occupies a delightful position, lying at the foot of Appuldurcombe Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This village is renowned for its church and pretty thatched cottages. It has a variety of teashops and restaurants as well as a pleasant public house where meals can be enjoyed. The sandy beaches of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor are only a ten minute drive away.
The Coach House is a stone cottage attractively situated adjacent to a bridleway which leads through the woods to Godshill. The cottage is centrally heated and has been furnished and equipped with care. It has a large double bedroom with an en-suite shower room at ground floor level. A staircase leads from the front door and lobby to a spacious open plan studio where there is a comfortable sitting room with a sofa, flat screen television/Freeview/DVD; a pretty dining area and a fitted kitchen which is equipped with a electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. A stable door opens out from here at 1st floor level onto steps which lead down to the bridle path. There is a small garden area at the front of the cottage with a table and chairs so that meals can be enjoyed outside. There is also a lovely communal area of garden within a 2 minute walk of the cottage with garden furniture. Wifi internet connection can be made available.
There is parking space for one car at the front of the cottage. The close proximity of the cottage to the Stenbury Trail the cottage is an ideal base for walkers. Regular bus service, public house, restaurant and shops are within 10 minutes walk.
The Coach House is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided at a charge of £12.00 at The Coach House. The Coach House is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Friday to Friday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00.

Godshill is a pretty rural village with a number of thatched cottages and a historic church. A number of boutique shops are now found in the village selling Isle of Wight Glass and other local produce. A couple of public houses provide a good choice of place to eat and drink.

Walk or Cycle to Shanklin - This walk first follows the Stenbury Trail to Wroxall and then the cycle track to Shanklin. To reach the Stenbury Trail from Godshill head out of town along the main road towards Shanklin before turning right after 200 yards onto the trail. Continue up the trail to the Freemantle Gate (photo of the Freemantle Gate) which you pass thought and follow the path which bears left across the fields towards Appuldurcombe and Wroxall. There is a wide flat cycle way that runs from Wroxall to Shanklin. The track starts below the old railway bridge in the centre of Wroxall. If you are walking there is a footpath leading from alongside the bridge to the start of the track but if you are on a bike you must cross the bridge and follow the cycle path signs. Once you are on the track it is clearly signposted all the way to Shanklin. The track runs along the old railway line and the banks on either side are lined with lush vegetation.
