Sea Haze is a lovely detached bungalow situated on the outskirts of Freshwater with a large garden and sea views from the garden and kitchen. It is in a secluded area with individual well spaced properties and on a quiet unmade road. Sea Haze is 1/3 of mile from the sandy bays of Colwell and Totland.This west side of the island is renowned for its beautiful countryside, pretty villages and small sandy bays.

This lovely stone cottage dates back to the 1700's. It is beautifully situated on the south west coast of the Island – only a two minute walk from the beach. This part of the coastline is renowned for its fossils and is completely unspoilt. Brook Green is a pretty coastal hamlet with a small group of attractive stone cottages. The pretty villages of Brook and Brighstone are nearby. The sandy coves of Colwell Bay and Totland are within a 10 – 15 minute drive.

Apple House is situated on the west side of the island, within a 10 minute walk of the beach at Colwell Bay. Here swimming, paddling, fishing and boating can be enjoyed. Totland Bay is also within easy walking distance. The coastal path from this area can be followed westward to Alum Bay, Tennyson Down and The Needles - a wonderful walking area with panoramic sea views. The centre of Freshwater is also within a 10 minute walk.

This superb cottage is one of 5 very individual properties skilfully converted from a beautiful church in Totland. It stands within a 10 minute walk of the beaches of Totland and Colwell Bay. It is also in a lovely walking and cycling area with wonderful downland and coastal paths nearby. It has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard with deep cream carpets and attractively co-ordinated fabrics. There is a feeling of luxury throughout the property.

Delightful self catering cottage at Totland within a 12 minute walk of the sandy beaches of Colwell Bay and Totland Bay. This west side of the island is a wonderful walking area with easy access to the coastal path to The Needles and marvellous downland walks and bike rides. The centre of the small market town of Freshwater is within a 15 minute walk and this offers a good range of shops, public houses and restaurants plus a sports centre with indoor pool and a golf course with panoramic views. Romany Cottage is furnished and equipped to a high standard and an open fire in the sitting room and a wood burning stove in the dining area. These fires provide a lovely central focus in colder weather. In the warmth of summer three sets of french doors can be opened from the ground floor rooms into the garden giving the cottage a lovely open feel - the garden is a delightful protected spot to enjoy a barbecue and drinks in the sunshine.
This lovely detached house is very attractively situated, close to the cliff top above Totland Bay, on the west side of the Island. There are sea views from the rooms at the front of the house and the lighthouse at Hurst Point can be glimpsed in the distance. The sandy bay of Totland where swimming, paddling and boating can be enjoyed is only a 3 minute walk away. This is also a marvellous walking area. Chine Cottage is on the coastal path at the top of Widdick Chine and this path extends westward to Tennyson Down and the Needles - a renowned walk with panoramic sea views. There are shopping centres at the nearby small town of Freshwater and at Yarmouth – a popular sailing centre with a variety of public houses and restaurants.
Chine Cottage is a substantial property which has recently been renovated to a very high standard. It has been furnished and equipped with great care to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation of a very high standard for six people. The rooms are light, spacious and centrally heated.
There is a charming entrance hall with a Victorian style fireplace; a separate dining room, for more formal meals, with sea views; a delightful sitting room with comfortable sofas, Victorian style fireplace with a lovely open flame effect gas fire with the feel of a real fire, a large flat screen television, DVD player & Freeview, a lovely large bay window with a window seat and a French door which opens directly into the enclosed rear garden; a beautifully equipped and spacious kitchen with sensitive spot lighting and the floors and walls tiled with superb polished natural stone.
There are fitted units with granite style tops, a large range style cooker with a double oven and gas hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. In the kitchen there is a feature fireplace now utilised for the storage of wine plus a utility area with a second sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. French doors open from the kitchen into a delightful sunny conservatory with a sofa and chairs. Further doors open from here on to the patio. Also on the ground floor there is a cloakroom with a WC and basin.
Stairs lead up from the front entrance hall to 4 charming bedrooms, two double rooms with sea views, plus two single rooms, one of which has a balcony overlooking the garden where visitors may enjoy relaxing. There is also a beautifully equipped bathroom with a bath, overhead shower plus a built in shower and basin. There is a separate lavatory with a W.C. Telephone and WiFi broadband internet available. Heating and electricity at no extra charge. Wooden cot, high chair, stair gate and pushchair can be provided if required.
There is a lovely secluded fenced garden at the rear of the cottage with a patio, attractive shrubs, flower beds and external lighting. Two steps lead to the lawn. It provides a superb place for visitors to relax and enjoy a barbecue. At the front of the cottage there is a garden with a lawn and shrubs plus a parking area for 2 cars. Steps lead up from the parking area to the front door. Special facilities available for dogs. There is a restaurant/cafe by the beach within 5 minutes walk; public house, small general stores and regular bus service within 5 minutes walk.
Chine Cottage is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Chine Cottage. Chine Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Friday to Friday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00.

Totland is a small seaside village on the West of the Isle of Wight. The beach at Totland is a hidden gem of the Island and mostly frequented by local people. The beautiful bay has a mix of sand and shingle and so very comfortable for sunbathing or swimming from. The neighbouring bay of Colwell Bay is also within easy reach and here you get wonderful views of the mainland and the historic coastal defences.

Highdown, Alum Bay - Attractive little public house serving good food. Located along the Freshwater Bay to Alum Bay back road and can be nicely incorporated into a walk between Freshwater Bay and Alum Bay via the coastal path. highdowninn.com.

Totland Beach - The beach at Totland is a long shingle beach with patches of sand. The position of the beach means it received more of the afternoon sun than beaches on the East of the Isle of Wight and therefore remains popular in the evenings with people looking out at the sea view and the mainland beyond. Colwell Bay - Colwell Bay is the next bay down from Totland Bay towards Yarmouth. Colwell Bay has a sandy beach with patches of shingle and also faces West and thus receives sunshine later in the day. More information about Colwell Bay

The ride starts in Freshwater Bay, joins a cycle track on the edge of Freshwater town going to Yarmouth. After seeing Yarmouth, with it's castle and boutique shops, the route continues to Totland and Totland Bay, where there is a beautiful beach, and on towards Alum Bay where we turn back towards Freshwater.

The West of the Isle of Wight is best known for its unspoilt nature and dramatic coastline. The areas is far less commercialised and the many of the beaches can be enjoyed almost to ones self. West Isle of Wight beaches include Totland Bay, Freshwater Bay, Compton Beach, Brook Beach and Bembridge Beach.

One large or two small dogs are welcome at Chine Cottage. The back garden is fenced, and a dog kennel and run are provided. Puppies accepted but if not house trained they must be kept in the kennel. Dogs are not allowed upstairs and there is a child gate to prohibit them doing so. They are also not permitted on the furniture or in the bedrooms. Dogs must not be left in the property but should be placed in the kennel and run provided. Dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date. Cats by arrangement.
