Lovely traditional cottage with beautiful rural views, across fields to nearby downs, from all of the main rooms in the cottage. It is delightfully situated on a small 12 acre farm which is home to horses. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area. Footpaths can be followed across beautiful countryside directly from the cottage and these is easy access to a cycle path which links the seaside resort of Sandown with the pretty villages of Newchurch and Godshill and then extends to the market town of Newport with its lovely medieval castle of Carisbrooke. The cottage is within a 10 minute drive of the sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin. The accommodation is all on one level and the cottage has been furnished and equipped to a high standard. A nearby public house serves excellent food.

This pretty cottage is one of a small group of 5 cottages nestled in an attractive courtyard location adjacent to Ventnor Park Gardens and within a pleasant 10 minute stroll through the park to Ventnor esplanade with its lovely beach and bay. Castle Coach House has been converted from part of the original stables of Steephill Castle and has pretty leaded windows, a lovely bay window, a charming porch and many beams.

This delightful detached stone cottage is located on a 400 acre arable farm which is also home to a small number of cattle and sheep. It is located on the south east side of the island within a 5 minute drive of the beach. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area with footpaths leading from the cottage across the farm and joining a network of routes including the renowned Stenbury Trail which links Ventnor with the central market town of Newport and its dramatic castle of Carisbrooke. The larger sandy beaches of Ventnor and Shanklin are within a 10 minute drive.

Situated on the South East side of the Island in an attractive farm courtyard with ancient Grade 11 listed barns and a traditional farmhouse which dates back to the 17th Century. Sainham Farm occupies a delightful position, lying at the foot of Appuldurcombe Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This village is renowned for its church and pretty thatched cottages. The sandy beaches of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor are only a ten minute drive away.
Castle Cottage is very attractively situated within a pleasant ten minute stroll of the beach of Ventnor and the quiet cove of Steephill. Ventnor Park is at the rear of the cottage, where paths lead through these lovely gardens to the Esplanade. These gardens also adjoin the Botanical Garden of Ventnor which is renowned for its mild climate and rare plants.
Castle Cottage is one of a small group of cottages that have been converted from what was originally the stables of Steephill Castle - this used to be only a short distance away. A wonderful clock tower still stands above the cottages. Castle Cottage has been renovated with great care to provide very attractive and comfortable accommodation. It has been furnished and equipped to a high standard and is centrally heated. All accommodation in the cottage is on one level apart from the pretty galleried area which is approached by a staircase leading up from the sitting room. There is a single bed on this mezzanine level with limited privacy due to the open nature of the surrounding railings. On the ground floor there is a lovely spacious open plan sitting room with a feature fireplace, attractive sofa and chairs, television with DVD and Sky. There is a pleasant dining area and a modern fitted kitchen equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, refrigerator with ice box, and washing machine. The pretty double bedroom has French doors which open directly into the garden and an en-suite shower room with W.C. There is an additional bathroom on the ground floor which has a bath, W.C and basin. A delightful conservatory with attractive Victorian tiles provides a very pleasant place to sit and relax. Heating, electricity and BT Infinity wifi connection at no extra charge.
The cottage has a sunny south facing walled garden. Garden furniture is provided so that meals can be enjoyed outside. There is a private gated courtyard at the front of the cottages and a car can be parked beside Castle Cottage. Shops, restaurants, a public house and telephone -10 minutes walk. Regular bus service - 1 minutes walk. This links with Shanklin railway station for Ryde ferry and trains to London.
Castle Cottage has ground floor accommodation and is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Castle Cottage. Castle Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from and 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017.

The South of the Isle of Wight is a wonderful mix of pretty beaches and dramatic coastal landscape. The sand and shingle beach at Ventnor is one of the more popular holiday locations but hidden gems such as Bonchurch and Steephill Cove are really worth a visit too.
The coastal path around the South Coast of the Isle of Wight is a particularly beautiful stretch to explore and passes a number of attractive sites which include Steephill Cove, Orchard Bay and St Catherine's Light House at Niton Undercliff. Some of this area has been prone to erosion so you must stick to the footpath and take heed of diversions.
