This lovely thatched cottage dates back to 1701. It is full of character with exposed beams, inglenook fireplaces. It stands in ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' with views of Brighstone Downs. The pretty village of Brighstone village with its tea rooms, public house and village shops is within a 15 minute stroll. The cottage is only a mile from the coast and here there are several quiet sandy coves.

This picturesque Grade II listed cottage dates back to 1676 and is attractively situated at the end of a quiet lane with a lovely ford and footpath leading to the nearby medieval castle of Carisbrooke. Located in the oldest part of Carisbrooke village which is a conservation area lying within ‘An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. The castle is only 5 minutes walk away and can be glimpsed from the garden and main bedrooms. This is a wonderful walking area as within 5 minutes walk of the cottage visitors can join the famous Tennyson Trail which follows the downs westerly towards The Needles.

Dairy Cottage is an attractive stone cottage enjoying rural views and with glimpses of Carisbrooke Castle from the master bedroom. The castle is within a 15 minute walk. The cottage is located at the heart of the Isle of Wight and within a short drive of the coast in any direction. Local walks follow the top of the Downs as far as Freshwater and Alum Bay and enjoy wonderful views all along the way.

This farmhouse is attractively situated on the edge of the pretty village of Shalfleet towards the West side of the Isle of Wight. The cottage adjoins the grounds of Shalfleet Manor House and has its own private entrance into a quiet lane which leads from the village to a footpath on Newtown Creek. This estuary, which is only a few minutes walk from the farmhouse, is part of a National Nature Reserve and is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Several secluded bays and beaches are within 10 minutes drive.

Situated within a few minutes walk of the centre of the pretty village of Shalfleet on the west side of the Isle of Wight. The village has a lovely 12th century church, its own village shop and a public house which is extremely good for meals. The cottage is in a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading from close to the cottage. The south west coast of the Island, with its many quiet bays, is within a 10 minute drive and the market town of Newport, with its medieval castle, is also nearby. Ferries can be booked at greatly reduced prices.

Honeysuckle House is situated within a 5 minute walk of the centre of the pretty village of Godshill and is within a 10 minute drive of the sandy beaches of the small resorts of Shanklin and Ventnor. It is also in a good walking area with a nearby network of footpaths over the downs and easy access to cycle routes. This is a semi detached property on an estate of similar properties. It is centrally heated and has been furnished and equipped with care. It has 3 bedrooms - a double, a twin and a bunk bedroom plus a bathroom with bath, built in shower basin and w.c. On the ground floor there is an open plan sitting room and dining area with patio doors opening into the garden. The fitted kitchen is equipped with a electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, refrigerator with icebox and washing machine. At the rear there is a fenced garden with patio and garden furniture.

Rectory Cottage is close to the centre of the pretty village of Brighstone on the south west coast of the Isle of Wight in 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. It is only a mile from the sea and is in a wonderful walking and cycling area. The cottage has recently been renovated to provide very attractive centrally heated accommodation with a walled courtyard style garden. There are lovely open views across fields to the downs and with glimpses of the sea from the upper bedrooms.
This lovely stone cottage is situated in the small rural hamlet of Bowcombe within the Bowcombe Valley - designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Bowcombe lies between the pretty village of Shorwell and Carisbrooke with its medieval castle. Shorwell and Carisbrooke are both within a 5 minute drive and have public houses which are good for meals. The cottage offers easy access to the small bays and coves on the south west side of the Isle of Wight. Brighstone beach is within a 10 minute drive and the larger sandy beaches of Ventnor and Shanklin are within a 20 minute drive. The Bowcombe Valley is a lovely walking area. Footpaths and bridleways can be followed from very close to the cottage to Carisbrooke, Gatcombe, Brighstone and Shorwell and there is easy access to the Tennyson Trail and Shepherds Trail. The nearby bridleways are also ideally suited for off-road mountain biking.
This spacious semi detached cottage has been equipped to a high standard. It has cream fitted carpets throughout most of the cottage and it is centrally heated. The cottage has four bedrooms. Upstairs there is a well equipped modern bathroom with a bath, separate built in shower and W.C, plus two pretty double bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a single bedroom and a twin bedroom plus a shower room with W.C. The cottage has an attractive dining area, and a lovely light open plan sitting room, which is spacious and furnished with comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove, Smart TV with Freeview/DVD and has beautiful views over the garden and to the Downs beyond.
French doors open onto a delightful patio and into the garden. There is a modern fitted kitchen equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. The fridge freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer are in a separate utility room adjoining the kitchen. A travel cot/high chair can be provided. Heating, electricity and hot water are provided at no extra charge for visitors from early May until October. From early October to May a weekly amount of 50 litres of oil is provided at no extra charge. Additional fuel is then charged at cost price. Telephone available. There are smart televisions in the ground floor bedroom and the upstairs double bedroom. WiFi broadband internet available.
Bramble Cottage has a particularly pleasant and secluded and sunny garden at the rear of the cottage which is enclosed and often visited by wildlife (including rabbits, pheasants and partridge). There are lovely views across the fields and downs, and from parts of the garden the medieval castle of Carisbrooke can be glimpsed in the distance. An attractive screened and paved seating area with built in barbecue has recently been constructed at the end of the garden. Garden furniture is also provided so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. Two cars can be parked at the side of the cottage. Bus service within a 5 minute walk.
Bramble Cottage has ground floor accommodation and is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Bramble Cottage. Bramble Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:00 and the normal departure time is 10:00.

Bowcombe is a small hamlet not far from Carisbrooke and a view of Carisbrooke Castle is obtainable from many part of Bowcombe. The villages of Carisbrooke is located at the heart of the Isle of Wight and is best know for the remains of Carisbrooke Castle which sits on the hill above the village. A small shop and a postoffice can be found in the village as well as a couple of public houses. A footpath runs from just outside the village all the way to Alum Bay in the far West of the Island.
Blacksmiths Arms, Calbourne Road - By crossing the Down to the north you reach the Calbourne Road and the Blacksmiths Arms. The footpath starts from near Whitelane Farm and goes in a straight line crossing the Tennyson Trail and down the other side to the public house. www.blacksmiths-arms.co.uk

Tennyson Trail - The Tennyson Trail runs just north of Bowcombe and can be reached by a connecting footpath from the village. The Tennyson Trail runs all the way along the Downs to Freshwater Bay and then up to The Needles and Alum Bay. Tennyson Trail
Shepherds Trail - The Shepherds Trail runs to the South East of Bowcombe and there is a short connecting path to reach it. This trail heads down to Shepherds Chine on the South West Coast of the Isle of Wight. Here you can join up with the coastal path.
The centre of the Isle of Wight is best known for its historic monuments and beautiful countryside. The hills in this area are great for walking and exploring and paths fan out across the Isle of Wight. Carisbrooke, Bowcombe and Blackwater are found to the South and West of Newport. These small villages and Hamlets have unique access to all areas of the Isle of Wight and the sea is always less than 20 - 25mins away by car.

The cottage is situated in the Bowcombe Valley which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Bramble Cottage is a holiday cottage set in landscaped grounds. The original cottage was built in the 1890s. The cottage was extended at ground floor level in the 20th Century. The cottage has two floors. There are shower and lavatory facilities on both the ground floor and the first floor. There is also a bath on the first floor.
