The property dates back to the 17th century and used to form part of the buildings of the famous Manor House which once occupied the site.

This charming, Grade II listed cottage, is only a short drive from the sandy beach of Shanklin. It is peacefully situated in a quiet leafy hamlet in beautiful countryside, only 1.5 miles from the centre of the small seaside resort of Shanklin, on the east coast of the Isle of Wight. Shanklin has a lovely sandy beach which gently slopes into the water, a variety of restaurants, small shops and traditional seaside entertainments. The cottage has a lovely large sunny garden and is in a wonderful cycling and walking area. Footpaths and bridleways lead from close to the cottage to the coast at Shanklin and there is a particularly delightful walk across fields and downs to Ventnor offering panoramic views across Sandown Bay. The pretty village of Godshill is within a 5 minute drive and here there is good public house for meals, teashops and a hill top church.

This lovely stone barn is attractively situated on the outer edge of Wootton adjoining delightful countryside and less than a mile from the coast. The sandy beaches of the seaside resort of Ryde are within a 10 minute drive. Wootton has several small shops, a hotel and three public houses, two of which have restaurants overlooking the attractive estuary.

The harbour of Yarmouth, with is sailing boats and excellent restaurants, is within a 10 minute drive. Also nearby are the sandy bays of Totland and Colwell. The cottage has 4 bedrooms (one on the ground floor) - two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and there is a family bathroom plus a cloakroom with WC and basin. The cottage has been furnished and equipped to a high standard and has a lovely large enclosed garden.

The pleasant village centre with its shops, post office and restaurants is less than a five minute walk away. Two of the best restaurants on the Island are located within easy walking distance at the Priory Bay and The Seaview Hotel.
Bonny Blink is an impressive, large property with a wonderful feeling of light and space. A sense of excitement is created by being so close to the sea. The house has been furnished and equipped with care to provide comfortable accommodation for eight people. The front door leads into a large hallway which opens into a spacious central day room. Visitors can relax and enjoy the open sea views through the extensive windows which are along most of the length of the room. During warm weather three sets of French doors can be opened on to a wonderful decked area where meals can be enjoyed outside. There is also an open plan dining area inside the house which enjoys spectacular sea views. The dining table will seat 8 people. The sitting room is attractively furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs. It has a large bay window and passing yachts and boats can be viewed. There is an open fire which provides an attractive focus for the room. A large flat screen television/Freesat/DVD/VCR are also provided. The house has a fitted kitchen with attractive hand made American Oak units. It is equipped with a electric cooker and gas hob, microwave and dishwasher. Two refrigerators and a freezer are provided in the utility room. Washing machine and tumble dryer also available. There is also an attractive ground floor bedroom with a king sized double bed and en suite shower room.
Stairs lead up to four spacious bedrooms - two double and two twin rooms. A wooden cot/high chair can be provided if required. The master bedroom, with a super king size bed has the most wonderful sea views and an en-suite bathroom with a WC and both a bath and built in shower. (A television is provided in this bedroom). The second double bedroom, with king size bed, is an attractive room with fitted American Oak wardrobes. There is a family shower room with a WC, bath and overhead shower and also an additional shower room and WC. A hand basin is provided in all of the bedrooms. Bonny Blink is centrally heated and has a water system which enables visitors to have constant hot water for baths and showers. A telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and WiFi broadband internet are available.
In the garden there is an extensive decked area where visitors can relax. A large table and garden chairs plus a gas barbecue are provided as well as reclining chairs for sunbathing. Steps lead down to a lawn and to the beach. Visitors can sit and enjoy a meal while watching other members of their party swimming or playing on the sand or in the rock pools.
Two cars can be parked at the front of the house. Shop, post office and public house within 5 minutes walk. Nearby places to visit include The Flamingo Park, Osborne House - the Island home of Queen Victoria, the quiet coastal villages of St. Helen’s and Bembridge or the more lively entertainments of Ryde where there is a boating lake, ice rink, theatre and ten-pin bowling centre.

Bonny Blink is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Bonny Blink. Bonny Blink is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Friday to Friday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 16:00 and the normal departure time is 10:30. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 21st April 2017 to 25th May 2017, 2nd June 2017 to 22nd June 2017, 30th June 2017 to 13th July 2017, 1st September 2017 to 19th October 2017 and 27th October 2017 to 15th December 2017.
