Situated on a delightful farm in one of the loveliest parts of the Isle of Wight lying at the foot of Appuldurcombe Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A pleasant ten-minute stroll through the beech copse and across the fields leads to the centre of Godshill. This village is renowned for its church and pretty thatched cottages.

This charming thatched cottage dates back more than two hundred years and has been owned by the same family for generations. It is a character cottage, which has retained many of its original features. It occupies an attractive central position in the small coastal resort of St Helens overlooking the village green where cricket is played.

This delightful Grade II listed stone cottage has been sympathetically converted from the former stables of the nearby Apse Manor. Groom Cottage is a large property with thick stone walls, wooden beams and an attractive appearance with four gables. It nestles within an enclosed courtyard approached through a lovely arched entrance. The original building dates back to 1695, and period stone door surrounds and lintels can be seen on its south elevation. Parking available adjacent to the cottage.

This beautifully equipped cottage overlooks lovely open parkland where visitors may enjoy a stroll and children can play games.

Lovely farm cottage with delightful rural views across lakes to the downs beyond. The picturesque farm is in a wonderful cycling and walking area with direct access to a network of cycle paths, footpaths and bridleways, and private access to the Stenbury Trail which ultimately extends from Cowes to the coast at Ventnor. The Tennyson Trail extending to the western tip of the island is also easily reached. The cottage has been furnished and equipped with care to a high standard and offers charming accommodation in beautiful surroundings with ducks, swans and a huge variety of other wildlife including red squirrels as constant visitors. Horses are kept on the farm and trout fishing can be arranged. The central location of the cottage makes it an ideal base for touring the island.

This lovely stone cottage occupies an attractive position in a quiet country lane, on the outskirts of Godshill. It has been converted from the original milking parlour of Lower Yard Farm and the building is thought to date back to the 1700 ‘s. A small riding stables is within a few minutes walk and most of the surrounding fields are home to horses. The centre of the picturesque village of Godshill, with its pretty thatched cottages, restaurants and tea shops is only 3/4 mile away.

This lovely 17th century cottage is built of Island chalk and brick and enjoys beautiful views across nearby lakes and open countryside to Ventnor Downs. It is situated on an attractive farm at Merstone. The picturesque village of Godshill is nearby and the sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive. This is a wonderful walking area. Footpaths can be followed from close to the cottage along the course of the river Yar towards Bembridge and Niton and into the village of Godshill.
This charming cottage is nestled in the beautiful East Isle of Wight countryside, adjoining National Trust woodland, renowned for its carpets of bluebells and abundance of red squirrels. The cottage commands wonderful views towards the sea and Culver Cliffs as well as of the Ventnor Down. Visitors have the freedom to enjoy over three acres of garden and private woodland. The sandy beach of Sandown is within a seven-minute drive.
Beaulieu Cottage has three pretty bedrooms upstairs - one double, one twin and one single room. The latter is reached by passing through the twin bedroom. On the ground floor it has an attractive and comfortable sitting room, with a flat screen television, Freeview/DVD ; a well equipped bathroom with bath, hand shower, basin and WC; a kitchen/breakfast room with attractive fitted units and a hard wood work top, an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. A freezer and washing machine are also provided.
At each end of the cottage there is a sunny conservatory for relaxing and having meals whilst enjoying the beautiful views. Garden furniture is provided. Beaulieu Cottage has been attractively furnished with much care in a traditional style. Electric radiators keep the cottage warm. Heating and electricity free of charge. The cottage has a wireless broadband internet (WiFi) connection.
Beaulieu is one of two adjoining cottages and offers a lovely peaceful location for a holiday. (The adjoining cottage is only used as an occasional retreat by the cottage owner).There is no passing traffic and wild rabbits, red squirrels and woodpeckers are frequent visitors to the garden. Guests can enjoy lovely walks directly from the cottage by following the footpaths and bridleways through the woods to the villages of Alverstone and Newchurch or towards the coast at Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor. Cyclists are within a 5 minute ride of the cycle path at Alverstone which links with Sandown, Newport and Cowes. Keen fishermen may make arrangements to fish in the lake which is only a 10 minute walk along the lane. Private parking spaces available close to the cottage for two cars. Access to the cottage is along a gravel lane which is not suitable for low slung vehicles. Public house, food store and public transport within 15 minutes walk. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
Beaulieu Cottage is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided at a charge of £12.00 at Beaulieu Cottage. Beaulieu Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from and 30th October 2017 to 17th December 2017.

Borthwood stands just inland of Sandown on the East of the Isle of Wight. There are good connections with the coast and Sandown and Shanklin as well as Bembridge, Seaview and St Helens are all within a short drive. Well worth a visit and a short walk around is Borthwood Copse which is known for its ancient Oaks and sweet chestnuts. Red Squirrels are also often spotted here at at certain times of the year the ground is carpeted in bluebells.

Sandown to Newchurch Cycle Track - A flat cycle track runs from Sandown to Newchurch and passes close by. You can easily cycle to the beach at Sandown or head inland towards Newport where there are routes peeling off to Godshill, Wroxall, Cowes and most of the rest of the Isle of Wight. Local nature reserve - Alverstone Mead and the SSSI of Alverstone Marshes are within a short walk of Borthwood. Join the cycle track at Alverstone and head towards Sandown. You will cross the reserve along the way.
