This lovely stone cottage is situated in the small rural hamlet of Bowcombe which stands between the pretty village of Shorwell and Carisbrooke with its medieval castle. Shorwell and Carisbrooke are both within a 5 minute drive and have public houses which are good for meals. The cottage offers easy access to the small bays and coves on the south west side of the Isle of Wight. Brighstone beach is within a 10 minute drive and the larger sandy beaches of Ventnor and Shanklin are within a 20 minute drive.

This picturesque Grade II listed cottage dates back to 1676 and is attractively situated at the end of a quiet lane with a lovely ford and footpath leading to the nearby medieval castle of Carisbrooke. Located in the oldest part of Carisbrooke village which is a conservation area lying within ‘An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. The castle is only 5 minutes walk away and can be glimpsed from the garden and main bedrooms. This is a wonderful walking area as within 5 minutes walk of the cottage visitors can join the famous Tennyson Trail which follows the downs westerly towards The Needles.

Driftwood is within a three minute walk of the beach at Brighstone on the south west coast of the Isle of Wight – a quiet beach where swimming and paddling can be enjoyed. This is “An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty“ and a delightful walking area. Driftwood is attractively situated in a small courtyard of cottages. There are coastal or lovely downland views from most of the rooms. It has been furnished and equipped with care to provide lovely accommodation Wifi and telephone available. Ferries booked for preferential prices.
Farmhouse with swimming pool - Sleeps 8 + baby in 4 bedrooms; Children welcome
This farmhouse is attractively situated on the edge of the pretty village of Shalfleet towards the West side of the Isle of Wight. The cottage adjoins the grounds of Shalfleet Manor House and has its own private entrance into a quiet lane which leads from the village to a footpath on Newtown Creek. This estuary, which is only a few minutes walk from the farmhouse, is part of a National Nature Reserve and is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Several secluded bays and beaches are within 10 minutes drive.

A wonderfully spacious and welcoming seaside holiday cottage within a few paces of the beach at Bonchurch and located on the coastal path to nearby Ventnor. Within a short walk is the centre of the village of Bonchurch where there is a village pond and excellent local restaurant. The beach at nearby Ventnor is a popular holiday attraction.

This delightful stone cottage which dates back to 1761 is built of Isle of Wight chalk and brick. Hackney Stable cottage is situated on a lovely farm in beautiful South Wight countryside. It is a marvellous walking area with footpaths that can be followed directly from the cottage in most directions. There are particularly attractive walks along the course of the river Yar, to the picturesque village of Godshill and to the nearby village of Arreton which has a public house, farm shop and cafe for meals. The cottage is excellent for cyclists as there is access to a network of cycle paths directly from the farm and arrangements can be make for the storage of bikes. The sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are all within a 15 minute drive. Ferries can be booked for you at greatly discounted prices.
Bay View is beautifully situated beside the beach with panoramic sea views from most of the main rooms. It is in a peaceful location with the beach of Seagrove Bay only half a minute’s walk away. Here swimming, paddling and boating can be enjoyed. There is also a footpath directly from the house to the beautiful sandy Priory Bay - a 5 minute walk away. The atmospheric village centre of Seaview, with its small shops, sailing club and restaurants is within a 7 minute stroll.
Bay View is the upper west wing of a lovely large Edwardian house with a small separate apartment above. It has three bedrooms plus a dressing room and is a wonderfully spacious, light and airy self contained property. There is a large open plan fitted kitchen with attractive units, electric cooker and hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. A washing machine is also provided. There is a pleasant dining area and a balcony with outdoor furniture. The sitting room has many windows and open sea views. It is furnished with comfortable sofas, arm chairs, television/Freesat/DVD player and Bluetooth music speaker system. There is an additional dining area by the window, plus a delightful conservatory style alcove with a comfortable arm chair overlooking the sea. Two French doors lead to small balconies where you can enjoy the amazing open views of the sea. WiFi internet available.
The property has a wide central area from which the rooms lead off. There are two lovely double bedrooms - both with wonderful open sea views and a very spacious children’s room with a single bed, a full size bunk bed, plus a hideaway bed available. This room has a comfortable sofa and provides a pleasant place for young people to relax. A separate dressing room can accommodate an extra bed but this room does not have an external window. There is a bathroom with a bath, built in shower with constant hot water, basin and W.C. plus a well equipped shower room with basin and W.C.; basins with hot and cold water in the three main bedrooms. The property is warmed with storage heaters. Heating and electricity at no extra charge. Travel cot/high chair available. Cars can be parked in the lane just across from the property. A raised gantry leads from the lane to the small terrace and the front door of Bay View.
Bay View has ground floor accommodation and is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Bay View. Bay View is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Friday to Friday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 27th October 2017 to 17th December 2017, 5th January 2018 to 8th February 2018, 16th February 2018 to 22nd March 2018 and 26th October 2018 to 20th December 2018.

Bay View is a three-bedroomed apartment situated within a large Edwardian house. It is accessed from a gravel drive and is peacefully situated less than a minute's walk from the beach. The accommodation is on the first floor, which is accessed by a metal walkway.

Bay View is situated in a rural location. The village of Seaview is approximately 0.5 miles away and has several pubs, a hotel, cafe, post office, small shops and a pharmacy. The nearest large town is Ryde, around 4 miles away. There is a large supermarket just outside the town, numerous small shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as accessible taxis there.

Bay View is situated along an unmade-up gravel lane in a quiet location.
There is parking for several cars around 30m from the front of the property. The car parking area also has a gravel surface.
Entrance to Property
There is one entrance to the property, accessed along a metal walkway, around 10m from the gravel lane. The walkway is 950mm wide and has one step, 220mm high. There is an overhanging cork tree branch across the path at 1.5m height.
The front door is 810mm wide and there is a step 100mm high down into the kitchen/diner.
There are minimal thresholds between rooms in the property. See floorplan for details of property layout.
Halls, Stairs, Landings, Passageways
There is a large central area from which the rooms lead off. This area has short-pile fitted carpet. All doorways within the property are 820mm wide.
The lounge is furnished with two sofas - the first is 450mm high and 1600mm wide, and the second is 450mm high and 1700mm wide. There are two chairs, 430mm high and 700mm wide. There is also a table (700mm high) and four chairs (500mm high). There is a TV with remote control, Freesat and DVD player. Flooring is short pile fitted carpet.
The kitchen/diner is equipped with two tables 700mm high, together with 4 chairs 480mm high and window seats in the bay window area. The worktops are 920mm high. There is a front opening oven, 930mm high, together with an under-counter fridge and freezer, both side opening. There is also a front opening dishwasher. There is no clearance underneath the hob, sink or worktops. Light switches are all 1400mm high. Flooring in the kitchen area is of linoleum.
Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas
There are three bedrooms within the property, and a small dressing room area. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, 580mm high, with an under-bed height of 320mm. There is 1.5m space to the left and right hand side of the bed, which is moveable. Bedding is polyester filled. Furniture in this room includes a chest of drawers (1050mm wide x 850mm high), a wardrobe (900mm x 2100mm high), and two bedside cabinets (550mm high x 500mm wide). There is a wash hand basin in this room, 800mm high). Flooring is short-pile fitted carpet.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed, 580mm high with and under-bed height of 320mm. There is 900mm space to the left and right hand sides and the bed is moveable. Furniture in this room includes a chest of drawers (1080mm wide x 1000mm high) and two bedside cabinets (560mm high x 360mm wide). There is a wash hand basin in this room, 790mm high, and a built-in wardrobe. Flooring is short-pile fitted carpet.
Bedroom 3 contains a bunk bed - the top bunk is 1.2m high, the lower bunk is 0.5m high with an under-bunk height of 250mm. There is space to the left hand side of the bunk beds. There is also a pull out bed with space to the right hand side. Furniture in this room includes a chest of drawers (980mm high x 1000mm wide), and a sofa 400mm high and 1400mm wide. There are 2 built-in wardrobes and flooring is short-pile fitted carpet.
There is also a dressing room which contains a chest of drawers 600mm high x 780mm high, and a pull out single/small double bed, 600mm high. Flooring in this room is short-pile fitted carpet.
Bathrooms, Shower-rooms and Toilets
There is a bathroom accessed from the kitchen/diner through a doorway 800mm wide. This room contains a bath (520mm high), a wash hand basin (800mm high), a corner shower with a 600mm wide opening and a 160mm step into the shower. There is a w.c. 430mm high with no lateral space for wheelchair transfer. Flooring is of linoleum.
There is a shower room accessed from the main central area. This room contains a shower with a 950mm wide opening and a 200mm step into the shower, a wash hand basin 820mm high, and a w.c. with minimal space to the left hand side. Flooring is of linoleum.
