Self-catering holiday accommodation in Bonchurch

The attractive seaside village of Bonchurch is located on the South coast of the Isle of Wight on the northern outskirts of Ventnor and is on the coastal path between Shanklin and Freshwater. Bonchurch Beach is a mix of shingle and sand which is fringed with areas of rock pools. Behind the beach is a promenade which runs all the way to the sand and soft shingle beach at Ventnor.

The village of Bonchurch is situated high above the beach and it has a beautiful pond and small nature reserve at its heart. The village centre also has a small local restaurant called The Pond Cafe. The historic sites at Bonchurch include a 16th century church and the beautiful narrow stone steps which lead to upper Bonchurch. The famous author Charles Dickens part wrote his successful novel David Copperfield in a house near Bonchurch Beach.

Nearby Ventnor is home to a lovely circular beach, a promenade, a useful shopping centre, and numerous quality eating establishments. Also visit the Ventnor Botanical Gardens and lovely Steephill Cove.
