The Manor suite offers a magnificent room with a wonderful half tester bed; panoramic views across the garden and lakes to the downs in the distance. This exceptionally spacious room has deep pile cream fitted carpet, rich mauve silk curtains and a beautiful, original, fire place. The room has a wonderful light and airy feel as the sunshine streams in.The fresh white bed linen, soft pillows and fresh country air helps ensure a good nights sleep and the opportunity to awake to the sound of bird song.
We hope our visitors will feel refreshed and ready to enjoy a sumptuous breakfast in. In the summer breakfast is served in our sunny morning room with views across the garden. In the cooler months our visitors may prefer to breakfast in our beautiful dining room with its wonderful, finely carved oak furniture and beside the warmth of a wood burning stove, a wonderful atmospheric addition to the central heating.The room has its own private bathroom which is newly equipped with a Victorian style free standing bath, hand shower, basin and w.c. Even the bathroom also enjoys magnificent rural views. A selection of bath oils and soaps are provided. WiFi internet available
Merstone is a beautiful rural area just outside of Godshill on the East of the Isle of Wight. The open countryside around Merstone is criss crossed with footpaths and cycle paths which makes it ideal those looking to explore the Isle of Wight.
The Taverners, Godshill - The Taverners public house and restaurant in Godshill has excellent food and is popular with Islanders and visitors alike. They are considered a 'real country pub' and offers a range of traditional dishes in a warm and friendly atmosphere. There is a cycle track and wide walking routes running past Merstone. It was constructed on the old railway track and runs from Shanklin to Newport. There is also a footpath from Merstone to Godshill which is within a 25min walk.
Blackgang Chine - Blackgang Chine is a popular theme park with rides, games and a maze to keep the whole family entertained. Blackgang Chine is also thought to be the longest running theme park in the world and many generations of visitors remember it for the adventure and excitement it offers. The East of the Isle of Wight is best known for its sandy beaches and traditional seaside holiday resorts.
