Ventnor Beach

Ed 16 May 2018

Ventnor Beach is a revelation. A small arch of sandy beach the most southerly town on the Isle of Wight is a must-visit destination. Notes of the Mediterranean have attracted holiday makers to Ventnor for nearly 200 years. Standing in relative shelter from the sheer cliffs and the downs, the town boasts a micro-climate that produces warmer days and allows many sub-tropical plants and trees to flourish there.

Ventnor Esplanade on the Isle of Wight

The beach retains a Victorian flavour and has a ton of character. Facing south into the openness of the English Channel this bright beach is a joy to spend time at. Ventnor’s beach is home to some replicas of the mobile beach huts / bathing machines that can be hired.
