Freshwater Bay is an attractive beach in a beautiful setting on the Western tip of the Isle of Wight. The bay is surrounded by tall white cliffs and stunning coastal formations which give a sea view like no other.
The bay at Freshwater is quite removed from the small town and there are a peaceful and calm atmosphere. A teashop and lifeboat charity shop are the choices for refreshment at the beach but an excellent local shop, only a few hundred meters in the direction of Alum Bay, sells a range of picnic food which can be enjoyed back at the beach.
There is a good sized car park at Freshwater Bay and toilet facilities are located a short walk from the beach along the road to Alum Bay.

Getting There: Freshwater Bay is on the westerly end of the coastal road, which runs along the West coast of the Isle of Wight and is signposted from the small town of Freshwater. Bus route 12 runs between Freshwater and Newport every 2 - 3 hours.
