Bonchurch Beach is a quiet and peaceful beach between Ventnor and Shanklin and can be reached on foot within 30mins from Ventnor via the Isle of Wight coastal path.
Bonchurch beach is made up of shingle with patches of sand. There are also rock promontories which extend out into the sea at low tide and reveal rock pools which are interesting to explore.
There are few facilities at Bonchurch so you will have to bring a picnic if you wish to spend the day there. Some public toilets were still there when we last visited.
If you are visiting with children there is crazy golf and children's amusements located at the Northern end of Bonchurch Beach.
There is no parking on the seafront but a large gravel car park is only 200 meters away.
Getting To Bonchurch Beach: The village of Bonchurch is signposted from the Ventnor to Shanklin road. As you enter the village from Ventnor turn left onto Shore Rd and follow it to the car park. Follow the road down of foot to reach the beach.
