Ventnor and St Lawrence are on the South East of the Isle of Wight in what is regarded as a microclimate and blessed with botanical gardens and a smattering of sandy beaches in quiet coves. This part of the Isle of Wight you can find a wonderful mix of tranquil areas for walking and cycling as well as all the fun of the seaside. For the more adventurous there are longer walks along the coast to St Catharine’s Light House or up onto St Boniface Down where you find commanding views. Relaxation can be found with a picnic overlooking the sea or a lazy al fresco lunch at one of the many restaurants specialising in sea food to be found here.
Ventnor is also blessed with good access to the west of the Isle of Wight which is the best place to see the Island’s natural beauty and visit the famous Tennyson downs and walk the Tennyson trail. Blackgang Chine is also in easy reach from Ventnor and offers a day out for the family. Ventnor is no more than 15mins away from Sandown and Shanklin where the Island’s most famous sandy beaches can be found.
