Ventnor is well know for a unique micro climate which makes it mild all year around. This made it a natural choice of location for Ventnor Botanical Gardens which display a great variety of plants from all over the world.
Ventnor attracts holiday makers partly due to its beach which sits in a sheltered bay. The beach is backed with a selection of eating and drinking establishments as well as a small beach shop selling seaside essentials.
Above the beach, up on the cliffs, lies the town centre which has a good range of cafes and restaurants as well as a supermarket and all the essential services.
Walking either way down the coast from Ventnor makes a pleasant easy stroll and heading north east will bring you to Bonchurch and West will bring you to the Bontaincal Gardens and pleasant coastal bays.

|
A warm and welcoming public house with historic charm.
Specialising in traditional pub fare this village pub is a friendly and welcoming place to enjoy the pie of the day or a plate of fish and chips. That said, The White House is well able to cope with more exotic tastes and also serves up Thai green curry, a tasty vegetarian lasagne or something to suit almost every whim.

Pleasant sand & shingle beach good for swimming and relaxing
Ventnor beach is on the south east of the Isle of Wight and is one of the more popular beaches on the Island. The waters are popular with swimmers and the sheltered position makes it popular for soaking up the sun.
Refreshments are provided by a row of restaurants which are behind the beach and here you will also find a beach shop if you have forgotten your bucket and spade.
Ventnor Beach has been awarded a Blue Flag for the excellent levels of water quality and facilities. Find out more at http://www.blueflag.org.uk/beach2010.asp?beachid=63 . Ventnor Beach is one of several Isle of Wight beaches with Blue Flag awards.
