Freshwater, West Isle of Wight

Freshwater and Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight are located on the West of the Isle of Wight and are located within a short walk of each other.
Freshwater Bay is the location for one of the most iconic images of the Island, the great white cliffs rising vertically behind a shallow emerald bay. In the summer this is a popular bathing beach and the water temperature can be unexpectedly warm. Either side of Freshwater Bay runs the Tennyson trail which will take you West to Alum Bay and the Needles or East to Carisbrooke and the famous castle there.
Freshwater town is a friendly place with welcoming people and good services. You will find a supermarket and garden centre as well as many specialist shops. There is also a public sport centre and swimming pool for days with less clement weather.

Cafes on the Isle of Wight

map_freshwaterKings Manor Farm has recently opened an excellent shop and cafe on the outskirts of Freshwater. Dispite being almost impossible to find it has a large and loyal following who come for the very best fresh food and local produce.

The cafe is great place to enjoy lunch and on sunny days one can sit outside in a courtyard and enjoy a pleasent rural scene. The menu includes hot and cold dishes such as soups, sandwiches, and simple hot dishes such as home made burgers and pies which include vegitarian versions and are all made with farm or local produce.
