Seaside Public House where you can enjoy good food & drink with views of the sea
The Fisherman's Cottage Pub is right at the end of the Shanklin promenade and near the Shanklin Chine. Here the beach is a little quieter and you can sit in relative peace with great sea views. A good range of food is on offer and includes good sea food which is popular with Islanders.
The quality of the food was first rate and the chili prawn starter looked and tasted superb.

Good pub food and enormous portions
A warm and welcoming public house with historic charm.
An amazing pub which you will recommend to everyone
A delightful place to have lunch or dinner on the West side of the Isle of Wight and only a small detour when walking along the Tennyson Downs or around Freshwater and Alum Bay. The Highdown still draws a crowd due to an excellent reputation for it's food and because it combines an authentically friendly atmosphere and charming traditional public house feel. The menu of specials is chalked up on the wall and offers inovative and mouth watering dishes which take full advantage of local produce and fish.
