Sylvan Seas is a lovely detached house situated in a very pleasant area close to the sea on the south coast of the Isle of Wight. It is in an attractive, quiet residential area of individual properties with large gardens. There are views of the sea from the upper terrace and the front bedrooms. This part of the Island is renowned for its mild climate and a beautiful botanical garden with many rare plants is nearby. From the house visitors can take a 10 minute stroll to two small coves and can join the coastal path for a delightful walk through to Ventnor. The small coastal resort of Ventnor with its sandy beach, restaurants and entertainments is less than a 5 minute drive away.
Sylvan Seas is situated on high ground and is south facing. It has been furnished and equipped with care to a high standard in a traditional style. It is centrally heated and has lovely fitted carpets throughout most of the house. The house provides very attractive and comfortable accommodation, with a light and airy feel, for eight people in 5 bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a spacious sitting room with comfortable armchairs and a sofa, a colour television, DVD player with surround sound and an open fire; a pleasant separate dining room with a large table and chairs to accommodate 8; a small conservatory where visitors can relax; an attractive fitted kitchen equipped with an electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher; utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer; a W.C. and basin; a spacious single bedroom with a television and a patio door opening into the garden. Stairs lead up to four additional charming bedrooms – 2 double rooms, one twin room and a single room. One of the double bedrooms has a built in shower. In addition there is a family bathroom with a bath, built in shower, W.C and basin. A door from the landing opens on to a wonderful large terrace with a table and chairs so that visitors can relax and have meals in the sunshine whilst enjoy a view of the sea. A telephone is available. Travel cot and high chair can be provided if required. Central heating and electricity at no extra charge.
There is a lovely fenced garden at the rear of the house with a terrace and some steps leading to a large lawn where games can be played. Here there is also a pretty summer house with garden furniture and a view of the sea.. At the front of the house is another area of garden and parking space for at least three cars. Bus service and post office within a 5 minute walk.

Public Transport - Local bus 10mins walk. Busses go to Ryde (via Ventnor) or Newport. Local Shop - Grocery shops are best reached by bus or car and located in Ventnor town. Local Amenities - Local public house serving food is within a 10minute walk. Local Walks - The cottage is located in a fantastic walking area and you can choose between short walks into Ventnor or longer treks along the coastal path. Inland you are able to walk the Downs and see spectacular views and wild life. Activities - The cottage is located near to the beach at Ventnor as well as quite bays at St Lawrence. All are within walking distance via the coastal path. |
