Sylvan Seas is a lovely detached house pleasantly situated close to the sea on the south coast of the Island in an area renowned for its mild climate. There are sea views from the upper terrace and the upstairs front bedrooms. Two small coves are within 10 minutes walk and the seaside resort of Ventnor is less than a 5 minute drive away.
Sylvan Seas provides very attractive and comfortable accommodation, with a light and airy feel, for eight people in 5 bedrooms. It has been furnished and equipped with care to a high standard in a traditional style. It is centrally heated and has lovely fitted carpets throughout most of the house.
On the ground floor there is a spacious sitting room with comfortable armchairs and a sofa, a television, Freesat, DVD player and an open fire; a pleasant separate dining room with a large table and chairs; a small conservatory where visitors can relax; an attractive fitted kitchen equipped with an electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher; utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer; a W.C. and basin; a spacious double bedroom with a television and a patio door opening into the garden. Stairs lead up to four additional charming bedrooms - one double room, one twin room and two single rooms. The double bedroom has a built in shower. In addition there is a family bathroom with a bath, built in shower, W.C and basin. A door from the landing opens on to a wonderful large terrace with a table and chairs so that visitors can relax and have meals in the sunshine whilst enjoying a view of the sea. Telephone available. There is a lovely fenced garden at the rear of the house with a terrace. Fairly steep steps lead up to a large lawn. Here there is also a pretty summer house with garden furniture and a view of the sea. Parking for 4 cars in the drive. Bus service and post office within a 5 minute walk.

Public Transport - Local bus 10mins walk. Busses go to Ryde (via Ventnor) or Newport. Local Shop - Grocery shops are best reached by bus or car and located in Ventnor town. Local Amenities - Local public house serving food is within a 10minute walk. Local Walks - The cottage is located in a fantastic walking area and you can choose between short walks into Ventnor or longer treks along the coastal path. Inland you are able to walk the Downs and see spectacular views and wild life. Activities - The cottage is located near to the beach at Ventnor as well as quite bays at St Lawrence. All are within walking distance via the coastal path. |
