This delightful cottage is peacefully situated on Luccombe Farm, in lovely countryside, within an area of coastline looked after by the National Trust. This is a wonderful walking area. The coastal path is less than 5 minutes walk away from the cottage and offers an attractive route to the seaside town of Shanklin and the pretty coastal village of Bonchurch. The sandy beaches, shops and more lively entertainments of Shanklin and Ventnor are both within a three minute drive.
Lovecombe Cottage has been sensitively converted from a 200 year old stone barn. It has lovely views across Luccombe Bay from the main living rooms. The cottage has been furnished and equipped with care and provides attractive and comfortable accommodation for 6 people. Upstairs there are one double and two twin rooms plus a modern bathroom equipped with both a bath and a built in shower. Downstairs the cottage has a spacious sitting room with an open fire. It is furnished with an attractive sofa and chairs, colour television/video. There are lovely sea views from this room and patio doors open on to the terrace and garden at the rear of the cottage. There is a spacious open plan modern fitted kitchen equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, refrigerator with freezer section and washer/dryer. The very pleasant dining area also has sea views and patio doors leading on to the terrace. A ground floor cloakroom has an additional sink and W.C. A telephone is available for outgoing and incoming calls. Travel cot/high chair available. The cottage is kept warm with a combination of storage heaters and electric fires. Heating/electricity free of charge.
Lovecombe Cottage has an attractive and spacious walled garden with a large lawn. There is also a terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue. The owners of Lovecombe cottage have a small adjoining cottage which they use as an occasional retreat and at these times share use of the garden. Parking for 3 cars close to the cottage. Bus service - 5 minutes walk. Cottage bookings are Sunday to Sunday. Smoking not permitted.
