This detached house is attractively situated within 5 minutes walk of the beach in the small seaside town of Shanklin. It enjoys sea views from several of the rooms and garden. Shanklin is on the east side of the Isle of Wight and nestles beside a beautiful, large sandy bay. The town has the advantage of a picturesque old village centre with thatched cottages and small shops.
Keats House is very attractively furnished and has been equipped with great care in a traditional style. It is centrally heated and has double glazed windows. Upstairs there are - one double and two twin bedrooms. The double room is particularly attractive with sea views, a television and an en-suite shower room with W.C. Sea views can also be enjoyed from one of the twin rooms. There is a separate bathroom with a bath, built in shower and W.C. Downstairs there is a spacious sitting room with a large bay window from which passing boats can be seen. It is furnished with a comfortable sofa and chairs, and has a fire place with gas effect coals, plus a television/DVD. There is a very pleasant dining area and also a breakfast room which adjoins the kitchen. A telephone and a second television are provided with a DVD player. The kitchen is equipped with attractive modern fitted units, a double electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer, and dishwasher. A washing machine/tumble dryer are provided. There is an additional cloakroom with W.C on the ground floor. (A folding bed, high chair/travel cot can be provided).
Keats House has a spacious fenced garden at the rear with lawns and two areas of decking where meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. Garden furniture is available and also use of a pretty summer house. Parking for 4 cars at the front of the house. Visitors can walk directly from the house to the beach and can take a lift from the cliff top to the esplanade. Also within a few minutes level walk visitors can catch the ‘Dotto Holiday Road Train’ which goes to the beach and the old village of Shanklin. Shops, restaurants and bus service are all within 5 minutes walk. Train service available from Shanklin to Ryde. Smoking not permitted.
