Hillway Cottage is within 5 minutes walk of the lovely sandy beach of Whitecliff Bay. It is situated in a small rural hamlet on the east side of the Island. The seaside resorts of Bembridge and Sandown and both within 5 minutes drive. This is also a wonderful walking area and footpaths can be followed from the cottage to join the coastal path or to walk across the nearby Bembridge Downs. A relaxing 15 minute stroll takes you to the public house on Culver Down.
Hillway Cottage is a newly built, semi detached property. It is centrally heated and has been furnished and equipped with care. The cottage sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms. It has a particularly attractive fitted kitchen with granite style worktops. This is very well equipped with a gas hob, electric double oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. A freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer are also provided. The kitchen is open plan and there is a pleasant dining area and a separate sitting room which is comfortably furnished with sofas, a colour television with DVD and Freeview channels. French doors open from here into the rear garden. Also on the ground floor are a lovely modern shower room with a built in shower and W.C.; two bedrooms – one attractive twin room, and a bedroom with bunk beds which is decorated for children. Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms – one lovely spacious double room with an en-suite bathroom and W.C. and a twin, attic style room, with an en-suite shower room with W.C. All of the bedrooms have their own televisions, two with DVD players. Cot and high chair available. Heating and electricity at no extra charge.
There is a pleasant paved and walled garden at the rear with a gas barbecue and garden furniture provided so that meals can be enjoyed outside. There is space for children to play and also a lovely large Wendy House for children. Two cars may be parked in the drive at the front of the cottage. Bus service within two minutes walk. Seasonal shop within 5 minutes walk. Nearest shop open all year 1.5 miles.
