It has been converted from the original milking parlour of Lower Yard Farm and the building is thought to date back to the 1700 ‘s. A small riding stables is within a few minutes walk and most of the surrounding fields are home to horses. The centre of the picturesque village of Godshill, with its pretty thatched cottages, restaurants and tea shops is only 3/4 mile away. The market town of Newport with its wide variety of shops and medieval castle is within a 5 minute drive. The sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are all within a 15 minute drive.
The Hayloft has recently been completely renovated. The cottage has been furnished and equipped to a high standard with central heating, fitted carpets and a plentiful supply of hot water. It provides attractive and comfortable accommodation for 5 people in three bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a newly equipped kitchen with fitted units, an electric cooker and hob, microwave and refrigerator with freezer section; a modern bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and W.C.; a charming sitting room furnished with comfortable sofas, a flat screen colour television /DVD player. Stairs lead up from here to three attractive bedrooms - one spacious double room, one twin room and a single bedroom with a 4ft bed. A folding bed, cot and high chair can be provided if required. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in a nearby utility room, use of which is shared with the adjoining cottage - Milk Parlour. Heating/electricity free.
The cottage has a small walled garden with a lawn and shrubs at the rear of the cottage and there is also a lovely fenced area of garden at the front of the cottage. Garden furniture is provided so that meals can be enjoyed outside. There is a parking area for three cars near the cottage. Regular bus service within 5 minutes walk. Public house within ½ mile. General stores and telephone ¾ mile. Smoking not permitted.
