Dolphins is a newly built property situated in a small close near Freshwater, on the west side of the Island. The centre of the small town of Freshwater is within a 10 minute walk. The beach at Colwell Bay is just over half a mile from the property and here swimming, paddling and boating can be enjoyed. The west side of the Island is a wonderful walking area with spectacular views from the lovely coastal paths and walks across Tennyson Down.
Dolphins is at the centre of three adjoining cottages. It has been furnished and equipped to a high standard. It is centrally heated and provides very comfortable accommodation for six people in 4 bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a modern well equipped kitchen with fitted units, an electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine; (a tumble dryer is also provided); a cloakroom with a W.C.; a pleasant dining area, and spacious sitting room which is comfortably furnished with leather sofas, a colour television and DVD player. French doors open from here into the small garden at the rear. On the first floor there are two single bedrooms – one of which has a cabin style bed. There is also an attractive double bedroom and a separate bathroom with a bath, overhead shower and W.C. Stairs then lead up to the second floor which has an additional double bedroom with a spacious en-suite bathroom and W.C. A folding bed, high chair and wooden cot can be provided. Heating/electricity at no extra cost.
Dolphins has a sunny courtyard garden at the rear with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed outside. At the front of the property the gardens are open plan and there is private parking for two cars at the side of the cottages. A public house which serves food is within half a mile and a wide range of restaurants can be found in the nearby coastal town of Yarmouth. This is an attractive sailing centre where boats can be moored. Alum Bay Park, Fort Victoria and the Needles are places of interest within a few minutes drive.
