This attractive cottage is situated in a small lane in St. Lawrence on the South coast of the Isle of Wight. The sea can be glimpsed from the upper windows and it is possible to walk to a quiet cove directly from the cottage in about 10 minutes. St. Lawrence is an area renowned for its mild climate. The sandy beach of Ventnor is less than a 5 minute drive away.
Cliff Cottage has been renovated to a high standard and has been furnished and equipped with great care. It is a semi detached cottage built of Island Stone and brick. The cottage provides very attractive and comfortable accommodation. The ground floor of the cottage is largely open plan. There are lovely large fireplaces at either end of the room and one of these has a wood burning stove. Two sets of French doors lead into the rear garden and this produces a lovely light, open feeling. The sitting room is furnished with a Victorian chaise lounge, a sofa, comfortable chair and a colour television/video recorder/sky. There is a pleasant dining area and a pretty country style kitchen with an electric cooker and hob, microwave and refrigerator; a cloakroom with a lavatory. (A washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are provided). A central open staircase leads from the living room to a pretty galleried landing with two single beds and a screened bathroom with a bath and sink. A door leads into a pretty double bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom with a Victorian style bath with claw legs and a sink. There is a separate cloakroom with a lavatory upstairs. Central heating/electricity free of charge.
Cliff cottage has a sunny fenced garden at the rear with garden furniture and a barbecue. A gate leads through to a larger lawned area of garden where red squirrels can sometimes be seen. Off road parking for one car at the side of the cottage. Small shop/post office - 5 minutes walk. Within 5 minutes walk there is a regular bus service with links to Shanklin railway station for Ryde ferry and trains to London. Smoking not permitted.
