There are sea views from the rooms at the front of the house and the lighthouse at Hurst Point can be glimpsed in the distance. The sandy bay of Totland where swimming, paddling and boating can be enjoyed is only a 3 minute walk away. This is also a marvellous walking area. Chine Cottage is on the coastal path at the top of Widdick Chine and this path extends westward to Tennyson Down and the Needles - a renowned walk with panoramic sea views. There are shopping centres at the nearby small town of Freshwater and at Yarmouth – a popular sailing centre with a variety of public houses and restaurants.
Chine Cottage is a substantial property which has recently been renovated to a very high standard. It has been furnished and equipped with great care to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation of a very high standard for six people. The rooms are light, spacious and centrally heated.

There are fitted units with granite style tops, a large range style cooker with a double oven and gas hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. In the kitchen there is a feature fireplace now utilised for the storage of wine plus a utility area with a second sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. French doors open from the kitchen into a delightful sunny conservatory with a sofa and chairs. Further doors open from here on to the patio. Also on the ground floor there is a cloakroom with a W.C and basin.
Stairs lead up from the front entrance hall to 4 charming bedrooms, two double rooms with sea views, plus two single rooms, one of which has a balcony overlooking the garden where visitors may enjoy relaxing. There is also a beautifully equipped bathroom with a bath, over head shower plus a built in shower and basin. There is a separate lavatory with a W.C. Telephone and WiFi available. Heating and electricity at no extra charge. We regret that it is not possible to use the open fires. Wooden cot, high chair, stair gate and pushchair can be provided if required.
There is a lovely secluded fenced garden at the rear of the cottage with a patio, attractive shrubs, flower beds and external lighting. Two steps lead to the lawn. It provides a superb place for visitors to relax and enjoy a barbecue. At the front of the cottage there is a garden with a lawn and shrubs plus a parking area for 2 cars. Steps lead up from the parking area to the front door. Special facilities available for dogs. There is a restaurant/cafe by the beach within 5 minutes walk; public house, small general stores and regular bus service within 5 minutes walk.
