This spacious house is splendidly situated immediately beside the sea. A stroll across the lawn leads to the beach where swimming, beach sports and boating can be enjoyed. A yacht can also be privately moored. There are spectacular, and panoramic sea views from all of the main rooms in the house and from the garden. Bonny Blink is in the quiet seaside village of Seaview on the east side of the Isle of Wight, commanding views across the Solent and the open sea. The pleasant village centre with its shops, post office and restaurants is less than a five minute walk away. One of the best restaurants on the Island is located within easy walking distance at the Priory Bay Hotel.
Bonny Blink is an impressive, large property with a wonderful feeling of light and space. A sense of excitement is created by being so close to the sea. The house has been furnished and equipped with care to provide comfortable accommodation for eight people in 4 bedrooms. The front door leads into a large hall way which opens into a spacious central day room. Visitors can relax and enjoy the open sea views through the extensive windows which are along most of the length of the room. During warm weather three sets of French doors can be opened on to a wonderful decked area where meals can be enjoyed outside. There is also an open dining area inside the house which enjoys spectacular sea views. The dining table will seat 8 people and can be extended for 12. The sitting room is attractively furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs. It has a large bay window and passing yachts and boats can be viewed. There is an open fire which provides an attractive focus for the room. A colour television, video recorder and DVD player are also provided. The house has a fitted kitchen with attractive hand made American Oak units. It is equipped with a electric cooker and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. A washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and an additional refrigerator are in an adjoining utility room. Stairs lead up to four spacious bedrooms – two double and two twin rooms. A cot/high chair can be provided if required. The master bedroom has the most wonderful sea views and an en-suite bathroom with a W.C. and both a bath and built in shower. (A television is provided in this bedroom). The second double bedroom is an attractive room with fitted American Oak wardrobes. There is a family bathroom with a W.C., bath and overhead shower and also an additional shower room and W.C. A hand basin is provided in all of the bedrooms. Bonny Blink is centrally heated and has a water system which enables visitors to have constant hot water for baths and showers. A telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and Wi Fi available.
In the garden there is an extensive decked area where visitors can relax. A large table and garden chairs plus a gas barbecue are provided as well as reclining chairs for sunbathing. Steps lead down to a lawn and to the beach. Visitors can sit and enjoy a meal while watching other members of their party swimming or playing on the sand or in the rock pools.
Two cars can be parked at the front of the house. Shop, post office and public house within 5 minutes walk. Nearby places to visit include The Flamingo Park, Osborne House - the Island home of Queen Victoria, the quiet coastal villages of St. Helen’s and Bembridge or the more lively entertainments of Ryde where there is a boating lake, ice rink, theatre and ten-pin bowling centre.
