An idyllic coastal town on Dorset’s Isle of Purbeck, Swanage is loved for its iconic Victorian pier, gently sloping sands and sweeping bay where children can paddle and play in safety. Located at the eastern end of the Jurassic Coast – England’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site – the town is famed for its traditional seaside feel, though a busy calendar of festivals and fun events makes it a year-round destination and a great base from which to discover Purbeck. Take a journey back in time aboard the Swanage Railway, which operates full-size steam and diesel passenger trains from the coast to Corfe Castle, 5.5 miles away. Time stands still, too, in the ‘lost village’ of Tyneham (11.5 miles) which was evacuated in 1943 and has been deserted ever since. No visit to the area would be complete without a trip to Lulworth Cove (17 miles), world-famous for its panoramic views, unique geology and crystal-clear waters. To the other side of Swanage, Studland Bay (3.5 miles) is another much-loved beauty spot with, at its southern end, one of the most famous landmarks on the South Coast: the stack of chalk known as Old Harry Rocks.

Located within a quiet residential building just behind the beach at Swanage, this ground-floor apartment has a wide choice of restaurants, cafes and shops close by. A welcoming open-plan lounge/dining room sets the scene for fun gatherings, with contemporary sofas and a stylish dining suite that will seat up to six comfortably. There’s a TV with Amazon Fire Stick and a DAB radio with Bluetooth connectivity to take care of the entertainment, while in the adjoining kitchen you will find everything you need. An elegant master bedroom features a super-king-size bed and en-suite shower room; a second bedroom with direct patio access has a bed which can be either king-size or converted to twins, and the third has twin beds for the ultimate in sleeping flexibility. A light and bright family bathroom completes the convenience.

Accessed from both the dining area and the second bedroom, a small patio area provides somewhere private to sit outdoors and soak up the sunshine. When you want more space or to be by the water, it’s a 150-metre stroll across a well-tended green to the beach.

Had the best time, everything was so close, beach, shops, restaurants. This property had everything we needed and more. Will definitely rebook and would recommend.

Excellent location by the beach in Swanage. Flat 1 Deco is modern, comfortable and very clean it's an ideal base for couples and/or families to explore Swanage & the surrounding areas, would definitely book again or another of the flats in the Deco building.
