A generous apartment in an elevated position in Swanage, this Dorset retreat is centrally located and ideal for town and beach excursions. Sleeping four guests, perfect for families or couples, the two-bedroom retreat is 350 metres from the main beach, where you can relax on the sand, go swimming, and hire pedaloes and kayaks. The pier, where you can book boat trips out along the Jurassic Coast, is the same distance, while the main shopping area, with its many restaurants, is 150 metres away. Head out of Swanage to explore the Isle of Purbeck on which the town sits. Venture 3.5 miles to picturesque Studland Bay, with its golden sands, where you can walk and swim, or go hiking through its magical National Trust heathland.

Let yourselves into the apartment and from its entrance hall, head into the pretty kitchen/diner, which has been perfectly fitted out with modern units and appliances. This lovely room offers ample space with a chic table and chairs where you can sit down to enjoy meals together after your holiday adventures. Follow the long hallway down to the lounge and lose yourselves in the views through the large bay windows. Lovely property in great location. Well equipped and lovely furnishings. Immaculately clean. Only negatives were- v small kitchen for 4 adults and rickety uncomfortable chairs. VERY light childs bedroom. Could do with black out blinds as well as the curtains and blinds on the internal windows. This was only a problem as we had a 15 month old who Read moreis used to sleeping in the dark, May not be a problem for others. Hide

The property was well maintained and furnished to a high standard. However, the sofa was very low and we were unable to sit on it, which wasnt helped by the fact that the swivel chair was broken. We had to bring in our beach chairs to sit on. In addition to the chair the bathroom blind was broken, the curtain rail in the bedroom had no end stop, soRead more the curtain came off the end of the rail. Also, the kettle kept boiling over. However, when I reported these problems they were fixed immediately. I dont think the property should be advertised as have a place to sit at the back. It is basically a car park, where you are surrounded by cars, meters, washing lines and also scaffolding. On arrival, the scaffolding did not give a very good impression! Im not sure why its still there, as there doesnt appear to be any work going on, Hide

The floorings could have been cleaner, my daughters socks were very dirty each day from both the hard floor and carpet. The sofa was extremely low and not very user friendly for my father in law! The love chair was comfortable but quite dirty. And disappointed there was no way of changing the heating because it did not come on in the evening as advRead moreised in the user manual and the bedrooms were very cold at night as the walls were also damp. Lovely flat, but could do with some more comfortable chairs. All too low. Long delay to get into property as cleaner had been held up. However, Zoe was lovely and flat was beautifully clean.

Very comfortable cottage and equipment all fine for cooking etc. Excellent location for dining out and for the beach. Would have loved to do some shopping in all the interesting shops nearby but we ran out of time! Would have liked a more comfortable dining table and it would have been nice to look at the sea while eating. Floors were not especiallRead morey clean and the bathroom grouting needed a good bleach.
