A sunny country home surrounded by colourful wild garden and situated in a peaceful location near the coastal town of Cowes. This homely hideaway is a wonderful base for a family escape or holiday with friends, plus up to three tufty-pawed companions. Serious cyclists and leisurely peddlers alike can enjoy cruising along the scenic Medina Estuary Circular Route (within 5 miles), before gathering for a sociable al fresco supper at the garden table.

This charming farmhouse features a warm cottage interior with light-flooded rooms, soft neutral tones, and squishy seating aplenty. Shrug off outer layers and towel down muddy paws before venturing inside. Get competitive with a high-stake round of table tennis in the cosy snug/games room. Padding into the lounge, crack open a cold tipple and sink onto the seats for a blether while overlooking the tranquil farmland beyond. Keen chefs can rustle up an evening meal in the airy shaker kitchen. Thumb through a local guidebook perched at the breakfast table or graze through a pre-dinner snack board. For a more formal feasting affair, congregate in the elegant diner styled in soothing hues and featuring an original fireplace. Ascend the staircase to find four inviting bedrooms, including a spacious super-king, an en-suite king, and two bright twins. Completing the property is a large family bathroom. Start the day with a morning brew and warm pastries in the garden beneath the willow tree, explore the wild garden, or enjoy an afternoon BBQ on the gravelled patio overlooking the River Medina.

Feel the wind in your hair as you embark on a cruise along the glistening Solent Strait from Cowes harbour (2 miles). Enjoy a tranquil stroll along Cowes Beach (1.5 miles) to spot regattas bobbing in the water then peruse the opulent grounds of Osborne House (8 miles).

It proved to be a great venue for our festive family get together. The large kitchen is well equipped and we were able to cook a full Christmas dinner for 8. There is plenty of room which allowed us to spread out when we wanted to do different activities.
