This attractive stone built cottage is in the small rural hamlet of Sandford and is only a five minute drive from the seaside town of Shanklin with its lovely sandy beach, shops and restaurants. The other seaside towns of Sandown and Ventnor  are also only a short drive away. Within a mile of the cottage is the picturesque village of Godshill with its public house, restaurants and tea shops. Footpaths can be followed from close to the cottage to Godshill and Appuldurcombe. These paths join the renowned Stenbury and Worsley Trails which cross the downs and from which there are panoramic views. 

Rose Cottage is situated in a quiet courtyard of eight cottages which have been converted from some attractive barns. The central courtyard forms a lovely quiet garden with lawns, shrubberies and a raised pond. The cottage has been furnished and equipped with care and provides comfortable and attractive accommodation for four people. It is furnished in a traditional style with fitted carpets and central heating. There are three bedrooms upstairs – one pretty double bedroom with a king size bed, and two attractive single bedrooms; plus a modern bathroom with both a bath and built in shower. Downstairs there is a spacious open plan dining area and sitting room. Visitors can relax on a comfortable sofa and chairs in front of an attractive gas flame effect wood burning stove. There is a DVD player and colour television with free BBC TV digital channels and full sky channels are available for visitors who bring their own sky box and card. The cottage has a modern fitted kitchen with antique style pine units, electric cooker and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washer dryer. CD tape and radio provided. 

At the rear of the cottage is a private walled courtyard garden where meals can be enjoyed and games can be played. Garden furniture is provided. All heating and electricity are free of charge. A travel cot and high chair are available. Stair gates are provided. Two car parking spaces at the rear of the cottage. Public transport within 5 minutes walk. Shop, public house and restaurant within 1 mile.
